Wow. He should have to answer for that in front of a judge, IMHO. Pretty clear case of battery there.

Holy shit! The kid asks him a question and he blows a fuse. Is asking a member of Congress if they support the Obama agenda that provocative of a question?

I just love this quote…
And on that note, the long hot summer gets into gear

That’s right, a student has the nerve to ask a Congressman a question and gets his head handed to him… almost literally.
Last week, Democrat Congressman Bod Etheridge (D-NC2) attended a fundraiser headlined by Speaker Nancy Pelosi. He was asked by some students on the street whether he supported the “Obama Agenda.” As you can see he didn’t take it well.
So, yeah, looks like Democrats who are up for reelection this November are a bit testy.
Seems like Congressman Etheridge doesn’t think that “the Democrats will have a great story on employment numbers, unemployment improvements, health care reform, Wall Street reform, and national security. Democrats may even have started a positive dialog in America on immigration reform.” At least he didn’t want to talk about it the other day.
What say you?
no, I don't think so, I want to see ALLLLLL of the video, this is not enough, and the student never should have 'got in his face' asking a question, thats verbal battery and the congressman has a right to defend himself!!!!!
This guy has the Russell Crowe syndrom, please get him to a Hollywood rehab as soon as possible.

If I were the kid, I don't know that I would press charges. I think the complete humiliation Etheridge is going to receive from this video going viral will probably be sufficient punishment. It could possibly cost him reelection if it gets enough attention. He does represent a district that leans slightly Republican.
Holy crap, get this man away from any sort of position that has any sort of responsibility. Zero excuse for such behavior.

WHO ARE YOU?! WHO ARE YOU?!
The intellectual journey that had began with Copernicus displacing humans from the centre of the Universe and continued with Darwin’s insistence that humans are merely modified monkeys has finally focused in on the very essence of life. And there was nothing special about it. The double helix is an elegant structure, but its message is downright prosaic: life is simply a matter of chemistry.

*facepalm* This assclown is from NC? What an idiot!
