At some point, the courts, who have the power to declare laws unconstitutional, will finally realize anti-gay-marriage laws are unconstitutional and rule so, thus finally letting gays exercise the right to marry, a right they have always had but which our society has forbidden them from exercising.
Blacks have always had the right to be free. Our society - even some wording in the constitution - prevented them from being free for the first 100 or so years (except for a few). However, as a basic human right, they have always had the right to be free whether our society - even the constitution - allowed it or not. The gay marriage thing doesn't even have the constitution as a roadblock, laws restricting gay marriage are simply unconstitutional.
