Franken leading Coleman
Al Franken has pulled ahead of Norm Coleman, and the possibility exists that a couple of other Senate races can be tilted to Democrats by the economic crisis.
This could give the Democrats the magic number of 60 seats and eliminate the filibuster. Even with 58 seats the threat of a filibuster is vastly reduced, as the Dems only need to buy off one or two Republicans to stop the filibuster. Are you new to politics?
Unfamiliar with how it actually works? Do you believe what they say is real?

Re: Franken leading Coleman
Franken is a raving lunatic. I seriously doubt that he is going to be able to pull this off.
What really gets me, about both him and Coleman, is that they aren't even Minnesotan.

And California was the only place a jackass like Reagan could get on a ballot.

Re: Franken leading Coleman
I recall a story about how the GOP manufactured a plan to bailout a bunch of irresponsible lenders with over 700 billion dollars of taxpayer dollars.

Maybe Franken will be on ballots in all 50 states in 2016, it could happen. He is a brilliant, educated person with a way with words and a talent for understanding how to communicate with people. Those aren't handicaps in a political career. And "Bedtime for Bonzo" didn't seem to hold back Reagan's political career.

The thing is Coleman himself is a total joke, even Galloway made him look an idiot, but while there are people like Johnny K remain in MN folks like Coleman and Franken will always have a chance. |
