(I'm guessing that second "lib" was supposed to be "racist") How exactly is this a fact? I can think of dozens of valid reasons why he may be calling Wilson a racist.

Relax, Steve. Your baiting is not going to fly with me.

Perhaps it's just a tactic that shit-for-brains assholes use because they don't have any sort of reasonable come back so they decide to attack one's character rather than their arguments/ideas? No way...
hummm so let me pose a question; do you think that when the race card is played by a lib or lefty, the msm gives it the same hoot and holler as say when a righty or con does?

apropos the whole magilla....I am to tired to look but I know myself and several others made comments back in nov. to wit; after the election if the going got rough, that the race card would certainly become an issue.

We have ‘respected newspapers’ other media and members of our elected bodies making comments that cast those that disagree with Obama as holding some deep seated dislike for him based on his race, as the primogenitor for their angst/disagreement with him etc.......

I am not saying it was some big scoop, but its an interesting take on the systemic value which has been put on this type of idiocy and used by and given cache’ by the media when it comes to dealing with dissent.....and yes we can say that those that questioned someone’s dissent as lack of patriotism back in the mid 2000’s was some of the same idiocy, but this, well to me at least, is a great deal more pernicious and harmful.

Apparently, he believes that you can't think Obama is a liar unless you're a racist:

Rep. Joe Wilson's outburst last week is drawing new recriminations from his colleagues, with a member of the Congressional Black Caucus suggesting that a failure to rebuke the South Carolina Republican is tantamount to supporting the most blatant form of organized racism in American history.

In an obvious reference to the Ku Klux Klan, Rep. Hank Johnson, D-Ga., said Tuesday that people will be putting on "white hoods and white uniforms again and riding through the countryside" if emerging racist attitudes, which he says were subtly supported by Wilson, are not rebuked. He said Wilson must be disciplined as an example.

And someone should kick Maureen Dowd's teeth down her fucking throat:

New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd wrote in her column Sunday that Wilson's outburst convinced her that racial angst is the underlying motive among Obama critics like Wilson.

"I've been loath to admit that the shrieking lunacy of the summer ... had much to do with race," she wrote. "But Wilson's shocking disrespect for the office of the president -- no Democrat ever shouted 'liar' at W. when he was hawking a fake case for war in Iraq -- convinced me: Some people just can't believe a black man is president and will never accept it."

Dowd wrote that Wilson "clearly did not like being lectured and even rebuked by the brainy black president presiding over the majestic chamber."

This twat doesn't know what the fuck drove Wilson to do what he did. Intelligent people would suspect that he did what he did because he thinks Obama lied. Fucking retards will believe that it was motivated by race.

We have another three years of these types of idiot-antics to put up with, and then they will prove to be their own undoing.

Fuck Dowd and fuck Johnson. If they were both on fire, I wouldn't piss on 'em to put them out...
i would just watch em burn also

this is what it is about and we are only 8 months into this admin and the race card is being played every day , in regards to everything

face it its how they beat clinton

I think you touched upon what I think the bigger issue is here. The "race card" used by the left and the "anti-American" card used by the right are essentially the exact same thing. People don't necessary pull the race card because they really think the person is racist, just as people didn't always pull the "anti-American" card because they though the person was actually anti-American. They both serve the same means: they change the debate, they allow one to deflect a question or accusation and turn the spot light back around on the accuser. It's a crappy tactic, but it works.

Which one is more offensive and harmful is a matter of opinion. I would agree that being accused of racism is worse than being accused of anti-Americanism, but both of them are pretty low accusations and bring a lot of a person's character into question.

Both sides engage in this sort of thing, so I find it a bit off to try making a case that making false and ill intended accusations is a liberal thing and that's my view of what is going on a lot lately.

I've not said that.

I said when someone whined "racism", it was most likely a lib doing it. If you can't decipher the difference there, I can't help you...

Perhaps you can.

But this instance is pretty clear, whether you choose to acknowledge it or not...

Re: Oh, For Pete's Sake...

You know something, someone could burn a cross on the White House lawn and most of this board's conservatives would try to argue it was a religious symbol. Wilson is a notorious racist pig and the vast amount of conservative criticism of Obama comes from racism. You can deny it all you want, when you criticise someone for telling schoolchildren to get good grades the only reason you can have is because "no n*&&#r is going to tell my kid to pay attention"

Re: Oh, For Pete's Sake...

I haven't kept track, but I'll bet that in this forum at least most of the accusations of racism, have been directed at minorities by the right.......
