Maybe corrupt politicians will be the one thing that unites left and right with those smart people who are neither.

Every one of the 435 House Seats is an OPEN Seat EVERY 2 Years

33 Seats over in the Senate is an OPEN Seat every 6 Years

There is no need for the Term limits, there are term limits built in. All that is need ... People , you, me and the rest of the country that has had Enough of this BS to vote for any one other than the ones that have been in for more than 2 terms for the House and 1 term of the Senate.

If the people here and around the country have the Balls to do something..!!!

Maybe, just maybe.

I still like to think that there are some out there with the Balls to do some thing and not go with what the System tells them to do.

In my district I will probably voting for the challenger. I don't know who it will be yet, but I don't see myself voting for the incumbent (nor did I last time, or the time before).

Re: The most corrupt Congressmen

My congressman is a favorite in the media and on these boards (John Boehner). I stopped voting for that prick because he stopped returning my phone calls/emails. However, before he became famous, he was a really good congressman.

I do agree with him on a lot of stuff, but not returning my emails is an automatic no-vote (unless of course it's a Pelosi type nut that's running against him).

I wish everybody would just vote 3rd party in one election (I want a huge mixture in congress to see if they can figure when and when not to clap when the president is speaking).

And Boehner has been in office for how many years?

NO matter how good one might be, after 2 terms in the House or 1 term in Senate things have a way of going south real fast.

Did you like the Bribe money that he was sending home?

100 seats in the senate are open sometime over the course of 6 years. 33 are up every 2 years.

what needs to happen is remove the advantage of incmbancy.

once we get that done then remove the money from the game.

The Advantage of incumbency goes to the side when the people stop believing that by voting in new people each time around.

One of the biggest lies for us here in Alaska is that We Have to have Young in office, he is the only one from Alaska.. yes he is, but look at the storm cloud that is over him and has been there for the last 20 years.

The 2 Houses where never set up to be long term, but we the people have let the ones elected to turn it into long term.

True, but they are not as prominently built in as incumbancy protection or Republicrat exclusivity. When the deck is stacked twice, once in favor of the usually-corrupt incumbant and secondarily for 'some other representative of our two most corrupt parties', it's not surprising that there are calls for controls beyond those already built in and effectively circumvented.

Back to the OP, I was impressed that even tho it was compiled by a left-leaning group, the Dems were not grossly under-represented in the list.
