Barney says homosexuials got it all wrong

instead of marching they should go lobby congress critters

I'm not sure they could get in to congressional office buildings though.

I guess even he realizes that their fab-a-thons do far more to hurt their cause than help it.

Quote:
Rep. Barney Frank, an openly gay member of Congress, says he'd rather see gay rights supporters lobbying their elected officials than marching in Washington this weekend, calling the demonstration "a waste of time at best."

Frank said in an interview with The Associated Press that he considers such demonstrations to be "an emotional release" that does little to pressure Congress.

"The only thing they're going to be putting pressure on is the grass," the Massachusetts Democrat said Friday.

Meh, security won't stop those guys. There isn't any room to hide a weapon on those outfits.

Re: Barney says homosexuials got it all wrong

Although many of them are not from his home state, the homosexual community is part of his “other” constituents in a way. Instead of telling the Associated Press that they should lobby their representative, use tactics from the NRA’s playbook, etc. he should show some leadership and perhaps tell the crowd himself. I know some members of the crowd are going to be rather bombastic and embarrassing to him, but I think they’ll listen and respect him for it.

But then again, leadership is something that has been missing from Washington in recent years.

Yes, because all gays dress like that.

Yours takes the top spot for "Most Idiotic Post Of The Day" thus far...

My guess is if they had a G-spot house the way they have the C-street house, they could swing a couple dozen closet dick-sucking family-value republicans into voting for their cause. The congress would just have to adopt a dont-ask dont-tell policy about who is having nooners over at the G-spot house.

Frank has done enough on his own to embarrass the Gay community.

I don't think he has alot of room to talk.

And bringing closet Repugs into this conversation is really not warranted.

Personally I think what you do in your bedroom is your own business.

Making it into a political issue is total bullshit.

Kind of reminds me of the hypocrisy of the left, how personal issues didn't matter when Clinton was the focus of the discussion but now closet Republicans don't get the same consideration..

And now Obama is sending directives down the chain of command that anyone caught fornicating or committing adultery is going to face serious consequences to include civilians. What right does he think he has to preach at anyone when his party supports that very thing?

Since they are the main standard bearers for discrimination against gays, bringing them into this conversation actually is warranted.

Once again, Clinton didn't run on a "family values" campaign. If a politician cheats on their spouse its noone's issue outside of their own family. But when a politician runs on a family-values platform and maintains power and gets elected/re-elected by denigrating such activity publicly as one of their chief causes, then they will be called out for the hypocrites they are.

Wow. Never hear that one. That seems strange coming from Obama, especially in seeing how he said he was working to repeal Don't Ask, Don't Tell.

He's full of little surprises.

Last week two executive orders came down.

One on text messaging and another on having sex outside of marriage.

Seems he's the president now and he wants to run everyone's fucken lives in the Department of Defense.
