"For all the erosion in support for Mr. Obama, Americans say he better understands their needs and problems and has made more of an effort to be bipartisan than Congressional Republicans, the poll found."
Poll - Obama Has Edge Over G.O.P. With Public - NYTimes.com
Perhaps the GOP revolution isn't as sure a thing as they anticipate for November. People seem to trust Obama more than the Republicans, and are seeing Republican actions less than positively.
Imagine if the Democrats picked up even more seats in November.

That's really not saying much.
In regard to the polls, I think that collectively they show that the public is fed up with Democrats and Republicans. The candidates that will do best in November are the non-incumbents who don't wear either the Republican or Democratic brand on their sleeve and instead present themselves as outsiders.
However when these non-incumbent people get into office, they are more likely to join the contiguous opposition block than they are to support the type of bills that have been coming out of the house.

"All you Conservatives ever do is attack the source. How about you actually address the issue for once?".
"Government big enough to supply everything you need is big enough to take everything you have... The course of history shows that as a government grows, liberty decreases."
-Thomas Jefferson
2 seats? Hell, if you want to fantasize, go big and make it 10.
Take a good hard look, it's coming.

Actually most of us aren't worried about liberals attacking sources (such as sources being biased) as that is completely legitimate, we are worried about liberals attacking people with ad hominems instead of attacking arguments. Attacking a source is not illogical; ad hominems are logical fallacies.

"Finding the occasional straw of truth awash in a great ocean of confusion and bamboozle requires intelligence, vigilance, dedication and courage. But if we don't practice these tough habits of thought, we cannot hope to solve the truly serious problems that face us -- and we risk becoming a nation of suckers, up for grabs by the next charlatan who comes along." -Carl Sagan
