Cap & TaxHealth Care is Done - What Next?

That's why it is so important to vote the dems out of office.
I have news for you: Liberals always claim "Republicans opposed every piece of major social legislation, civil rights, etc. that has ever been passed in this country. Democrats always lead the way". So if you can lump in Republicans that live today with those from the 19th century and early 20th century, it is perfectly fair to lump today's Democrats in with the ones from 50-100 years ago. You can't say "Republicans have opposed everything" and then try to make the argument that the parties have switched over time. Of course they have and in my original post (which was deleted because it had too much text) I made the same argument I am now and addressed the fact that parties change over time. Why don't liberals learn that. Oh wait, you know it, but only when it suits your argument. If you are railing against Repubs, then the parties have been the same since the beginning of time. Cool I get it now.

Which is not to say that her overall point about how we shouldnt cut taxes when the revenue is needed to pay for spending isnt valid. We should always have a balanced budget whether that means cutting taxes when we have surplus, or cutting spending when we have deficits, or raising taxes when we have deficits. But we also cant simply have spending and taxes (a budget) that hurts the economy, as ours does now.
Bush was right to push for tax cuts when we had predicted surplus revenue. But when spending increased and revenues dropped due to tech bubble and national security, we should have cut unnecesary spending to balance it out.

What's next?
Why the dems scrambling to pass every single republican issue favoring tax cuts to the rich, subsidies to giant corporations, etc. They're going to try and hold onto their seats by proving they can be more republican than republicans. Unfortunately for the dems noone actually LIKES the republican platform, they just happen to dislike the way the dems have been running things (esp the insurance mandate). Pretending to be republicans won't help the dems one bit because noone likes the republicans anyway.
Do you have a source for that claim? They were against Child Labor Laws,
False. There was bi-partisan support for SS. Some pointed out that it was going to cost more than the claims being made and they were right. SS is a ponzi scheme that would be illegal if it was not protected as a government program.against Social Security,
False. There was also pi-partisan support for Medicare, but again some pointed out that the costs analysis was too low, and they were right.against Medicare,
Unlike the above examples you gave, healthcare Reform did not have bi-partisan support. Not one Republican voted for it and I am very proud of that fact. Now, any problems (there will be many many problems) with healthcare will be the fault of Dems. You break it, you own it.against Health Care Reform,
Vital to the nation? Passing a bill that will cause insurance premiums and healthcare costs and taxes and unemployment rates to go up, as it causes healthcare standards to go down is vital or helpful to the future of the nation how?what legislation vital to the future of the nation will they oppose next?
Considering that it is the policies of the Dems in power which are the cause of job losses, increases in the deficit, and the continuing growth of costs of higher education, Republican opposition to the policies is the best thing for America.Maybe they can oppose jobs, deficit reduction and higher education.
Ah, do you have a link of Newt making that statement? Some thing that show it in complete context. The reason that Civil Rights legislation was passed was due to overwhelming support from Republicans. Sure, LBJ signed, but if it had been left to the Dems in Congress it would have never passed.Newt Gingrich compared yesterday's vote to the passage of Civil Rights legislation, so whose side do you want to be on, the side that did the right thing, or the side that cynically exploited hatred and intolerance to boost their own fortunes?

While I agree that is what they will try to do and I believe that they may succeed at doing so, I question if that will actually help them when it comes time voting time.
I think they will go afte homeschooling before they seek to eliminate private education. They will go after gun control through a back door by increasing taxes on amunition. There is also Cap and Tax and card check, they will try to push those through. After that will be elimination of private education and gun control.

What is next? I will tell you what it won't be, and that is any serious effort to create jobs in the private sector. The public sector will have plenty of job openings coming available in the about-to-be formed New Collossal Federal Healthcare Administration. I predict next up will be additional Moonbattery in the form of the oft-euphemized "immigration reform", e.g. amesty for illegal aliens. Congress will try to rush to get this one through before mid-term elections. Why? Because it won't have a snowball's chance afterward, when the Dems will no longer enjoy a majority. I regard this issue as not so much the humanitarian social agenda as it is being spun so much as the Dems seeking a loyal voting block. If the illegal aliens get citizenship, they will be solidly democrat.
