Health Care is Done - What Next?

Any predictions? With proof that the Dems will do anything to get anything passed, nothing is really beyond their reach. Do you think they will take over CEO salaries next? Or raise high income tax rates? Maybe start the carbon tax?

Well, later today, Obama will speak to tell us how wonderful Obama thinks Obama is for passing Obama's top legislative priority.

Beyond that, there is very little in this bill that takes effect now. We won't know the true cost or benefit of this bill until after 2013.

Yeah, Im not worried about it anymore. It is what it is. We'll have a chance to correct it in November. In the meantime, what are they going to roll over us with next is my concern.

Well, there are other private industries that need help. How about "transportation reform"? A stiff tax penalty if you don't buy a new car at least once every three years?

Since we're now using the force of the government to force people to do business with private companies, the sky is the limit.

Something will be done about long term unemployment.
With all of the extensions unemployment compensation resembles welfare at this point.
I predict something will be done about no fault states etc. Basically making it harder for a business to let employees go.

Reminds me of Atlas Shrugged where they basically say businesses arent allowed to fire employees, move out of town, or close down because people need those jobs. Not sure what Democrats can actually do to affect long term employment though, other than simply take money from the wealthy and hire people, maybe through all their green initiatives stuff.

Course, at some point something HAS to be done about retirement 25-30 years from now.
Business after business is dropping pensions as a benefit. As negative savings is the norm for most people - there will be a whole lot of folks in trouble a few decades away.

Reminds me of a good line a friend said back in the 90s...

"I can see the day when we'll have to take up arms and take our country back, but today is not that day. How's Thursday look for you?"

Looks like it's after close of business on Wednesday, but we'll have to wait 'til November to see if my watch is just fast...
    Today's forecast: Government corruption.
Tomorrow's forecast: 100% chance of more 'politics as usual'

Maybe it's finally time to vote Libertarian

that's no doubt what the republican propoganda machine will be claiming as soon as the debate starts. it's sad.

edit: actually i believe they're already saying it before the debate even gets started.

What else do you think they are going to do? Sure they will probably make some changes to legal immigrants, but how do you think they will handle illegal immigrants?

Amesty is the plan, that way they can give them all free healthcare and get their vote.

Oh, and keep in mind the first thing Dems are going to do is "fix" the HCR bill they just passed.
