Scott McClellan apologizes to Bill O'Reilly

MSNBC media hack Chris Mathews: "So you called up Fox News guys like Hannity or Bill O'Reilly and gave them talking points?"
Scott McClellan " "Certainly"
--------------------------------------------------------------

This later picked up by CNN and NBC...and then all over the internet (including here)

UPDATE:.....
Today Bill O'Reilly caught Scott McClellan on Radio and McClellan said:

"I should never have agreed with that"
" I should not have said that, I am sorry for including your name"
"I was wrong"
"I should never have answered that question like that"

Got your stakes ready?.......what do you bet NONE OF THIS INTERVIEW will be on CNN, NBC or ANY internet site that carried the original lie by this piece of crap trying to sell his book?

Re: Scott McClellan apologizes to Bill O'Reilly

Is he saying that he shouldn't have said it, or that it isn't true?

Re: Scott McClellan apologizes to Bill O'Reilly

saw this briefly in the hotel room workout room last night on MSNBC...... it was on hardball , it was brief and they basically were protecting themselves with the talking point portion of the accusation

then of course they did the big poll showing obama will win the election , has a 63% chance that he will, and then the whole world will be perfect, we will all be rich , and i will start crapping lucky charms .............

Is it really beyond beleif that the White House would contact journalists and tell them their opinion? Do you think that Stephanoplus didnt contact NBC frequently and tell them Clintons view of the current events. Would we call that talking points? Heck, isnt the whole daily White House Press Breifing a big talking points dissemenation?

Apologizing for a wrong you do does not make you a "weenie". If one doesn't apologize for a wrong they do to another when that wrong is staring them in the face, then they look like a weenie, for they haven't the strength of character, the openness of mind, nor self-confidence to admit that wrong. When that is exposed, then their credibility goes into the swirly bowl, never to return.

To whom one apologizes for that wrong is irrelevant.

Unless it's scum like Bill O'Reilly, or Rush Limbaugh, or Sean Hannity, or the overwhelming majority of Republicans.

You mean just like how FAUXNews barely if even they covered the Ted Stephens corruption fiasco?

Bill-O The Clown, briefly addressed it yesterday, Hannity Anne didn't even whisper, yesterday nor today.

Very selective and not objective reporting I'd say.

The point is not so much what stories CNN vs. Fox vs. NBC will or will not cover, but rather McClellan's interview being used to hurt the reputations of Fox news correspondents by saying the White House handed them talking points, which was a lie. Now O'Reilly forces an apology from McClellan for stating something that was not true and no one but O'Reilly will care because McClellan already said it. Anybody can think everyone on Fox or CNN are all douchebags, but at least consider them douchebags for semi-legitimate reasons.

As I said, to whom one makes an apology is irrelevant. It is more desirable to have pride in doing what is right than being stubborn.
