No, he screens them to make him look good. He himself has said this several times. Fridays are no different in this regard, just the topics are open but the caller is still selected to make Limbaugh seem a genius. I remember hearing one person with a cogent argument against him getting on and he said he'd been "ambushed" and cut the guy off.

Unless you listen to him regularly I don't think you know all that much about the program.

I think it does no good to allow just anyone on your program taking pot-shots at you.

I don't think the callers are selected to make Limbaugh seem a genius. That isn't what he tries to be. He just tries to be accurate.

I wonder what this infatuation with intelligence comes from. I remember some pundent in the Don Imus show was claiming that Obama's IQ was way off the charts. That he was quite possibly the most intelligent President in history. Don Imus asked him if he knew Obama's IQ and of course he didn't know "But it must be really high".

I don't think being considered a genius is all that important to Conservatives. Rush is smart enough to be the most successful talkshow host in history. That's all that matters. It doesn't matter if he's got a 150 or a 100 because he is so well paid and so successful that it doesn't matter.

The rest are just too self-involved, too strident, or just love the sound of their own voice too much.
