Home of the lame..........lame Americans sit on their asses wathing TV and witnessing things like bailout money paying for fat salaries. That pisses me off!.............whats for dinner?

Honestly people, will Americans never rise up and challenge their government? An orgaanized march on Washington is such a pipe dream at this point that it is actually depressing. Black people assembled hundreds of thousands for the million man march, but Americans in general can't (or won't)assemble a few hundred. Doesn't it bother you that we have become such lame victims of a goverment that does not care about those that pay the bills?

Our elected officials must laugh at us........"sure they're pissed, but fuck 'em.....they ain't gonna do SHIT !

So whats on TV tonight ?..............
Don't you think it would be easier if we all had private jets we could haul out and fly there? Seems to be working so far.

What now? Protest? Protesting is fucking dumb. It's a good symbol, but it doesn't get anything done. It's not like Bush is going to say "Goddamn, Dick! They're out on the sidewalk with homemade signs! Tell Detroit to go screw!"

I guess the best thing to do would be to contact your elected officials and protest that way. That is certainly much more effective.

But that stimulus package... Who. In. The. FUCK! is going to refuse a government check for a few hundred bucks? If anything, the American people will ask for more. For the most part, our citizens thinks that the solution to our troubles is to print more money. In high school, my Civics and Economics teacher had to slowly explain to the class the reason why we can't print our way out of debt.

My political science teacher was talking about the economy when we thought we only had to bail out a few banks, he told us that the main problem with economic issues in this country is that most people don't understand how the American economy works. I certainly don't claim to be an expert and neither did he, for that matter.

But if you get the chance, google some topics concerning the economy like government spending and taxation, just to name two.

So to recap: Write your elected officials and educate yourselves. Those are the only things you can do short of running for office yourself. I'm an atheist that's a Libertarian. I won't get elected to anything EVER. But I might try someday. For the most part, we all have good heads on our shoulders here. Some have their heads in a darker, warmer place... Anyway... Why don't some of the USPO people run for an office?

The post above sort of sums up my feelings on the matter. WHY do all you conservatives think we're all going to go to the barricades and lay down our lives to protect your tax cuts, lose our jobs and/or give ourselves lower wages, and ensure ourselves no aid from the govt if we should fall on hard times or get sick.

"Protect the rich, millions for our better's yachts, we must be free to starve and die of easily treatable illneses," seem to lack something as a revolutionary battle cry IMO.

How Will History Record Our Downfall?

Unfortunately there is something much more serious going on, something that the candidates, the media, and the American people seem unwilling to address, the continuing erosion of the principles contained within the Constitution.

Whether you believe these violations of Constitutional limits upon our governments power and authority are intentional, as I do, or if you believe they just happened randomly, the truth is that they nevertheless are taking place on an almost daily basis.

Anyone who has taken the time to read the Constitution for themselves would have to be blind to not see that our government is exercising powers they are not authorized to exercise by the Constitution. Yet we are supposed to believe that both candidates for president intend to uphold their oaths of office to “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

I have come to the conclusion then that our Constitution is no longer in use, as far too many people have no clue as to what it says, and those who swear to uphold it are routinely thumbing their noses at it.

Authors Thomas Woods and Kevin Gutzman also seem to be of the opinion that our Constitution is dead, as they have written a book entitled, Who Killed The Constitution. In their book they conclude that just possibly it is a nature of Constitutions that they are doomed to fail because of the nature of power itself. They believe that it is natural for those who obtain places of power seek to expand their power and do everything they can to hold on to it.

Thomas Jefferson said the same thing over two hundred years ago, “Every government degenerates when trusted to the rulers of the people alone. The people themselves are its only safe depositories.”

Maybe that is why Jefferson also said,“What country before ever existed a century and half without a rebellion? And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.” Do not get me wrong, I am not attempting to incite people to take up arms. I am only offering my thoughts as to the state of affairs in this country at this point in time.

There are many who write that still believe we can change things at the ballot box by voting for good honest candidates who understand, and are willing to govern according to the Constitution. People, that just isn’t going to happen! Look at what happened with the Ron Paul campaign. While I supported Ron Paul wholeheartedly, his campaign was so offensive to those in control that he was destined to fail from the very beginning. The same thing goes with Constitution Party candidate Chuck Baldwin.

There is no way that a few good candidates scattered here and there are going to change anything. The tentacles of corruption are spread too far and too wide for a few good men, and or women, to make a difference. No, the only thing that could turn the tide in this country is a complete purging of the system. We would need to remove every single elected official in our nations government if we had any hope of turning things around. Much like a doctor removes all the cancerous cells, we would need to remove every corrupt elected official in all branches of government. With the way the people of this country vote strictly upon party lines, because the other side is so much worse than their own, that will never happen.

The fact of the matter is that the Constitution is, in fact, dead. It is a relic of history, there to remind us of the failed great experiment in self governance. It will remind us of how our indifference to government allowed our servants to become our masters.

I have no clue as to what lies ahead for this country, I can only imagine. Will it be the One World Order as many are predicting? Who knows? I can tell you that in the immediate future it is going to get ugly, very ugly, here in this country. I do not think many people have any idea of what troubles lie on the horizon. I also don’t think enough people are prepared for it. I do know it is coming, and it cannot be stopped.

When it finally gets here, we will see what people are made of. When the chaos begins we will see where people go for help. If your faith lies, as it does with many, in your government to take care of you, then you are likely in for a rough time. However, if your faith lies elsewhere, you may be a bit more prepared for events when they do happen.

My only real question is this, how will the historians record the downfall of the United States of America?
"Hey, some dowad couldn't read the Constitution right and started a revolution"

I was on active duty in the US Army during the early 1960s. At one point, one of my squad mates was a young man from New York City whose father was treasurer of Local 3 of the IBEW, one of the largest, wealthiest, and most politically powerful local unions in the nation. "Bart" had joined the union right after graduation from high school and his union status while in military service was "Apprentice Electrician." He told me that his active duty time COUNTED TOWARD THE FULFILLMENT OF HIS APPRENTICESHIP REQUIREMENTS, and that he would become a fully licensed electrician shortly after his discharge. I asked HOW he expected to be able to do the work of an electrician without actually having received the training and job experience needed to perform the job. He replied that he had no inyention of ever really working as an electrician. As soon as he was licensed, he would be given a job in his father's office, and he eventually expected to succeed to increasingly-important positions of union leadership. To do that, he said, he didn't even need to know how to splice two wires.

He probably did exactly what he expected to do, although I lost track of him when I was reassigned. Later, I learned that Local 3, IBEW also has the reputation of being one of the most corrupt local unions in the nation.
I will offer another anecdote.

Sometime in the 90's I was abducted by aliens who, for no fathomable reason, informed me that their master, Gargax the Destroyer. had replaced all of Earths Union heads with evil clones and would soon use them to establish world domination. As they then gave me a beautiful fembot to shut up about it I never told anyone. However, since she ran off with my new HDTV last week I am now free to save the world. And that's the truth.

Hey, it has about as much backup as the story above.
