I also feed homeless through my church, once again plenty of white. If I did as you suggest, I would have to deny the white people their portion and double it for the blacks. I ain't made like that. As far as farm subsidies go I never claim either way on that, but since you have such a strong opinion on individual welfare recipients which make only a fraction of the welfare program I figured you snipe a farmer on site.

Speaking as someone who has lived and worked on one of these farms (Grew up on one AAMOF), farmers are generally speaking not that interested in actually getting this wellfare for growing nothing. However, this program is federally mandated because if we didn't have them, food prices would drop through the floor, meaning farms that are poor investments would go under, and so would processed food producers, because in a flooded market demand tapers off. It's not wellfare for the farmer so much as the processed food industry.

So, yeah. Essentially it's all corporate wellfare. Gubment needs to get its ass out of the economy so we can have an actual correction, before the distortion bubble gets so big that it takes us all down.

I do a lot of work within the school system. Between that and working, I have actually very little time for much else (when you throw the hubby kid and zoo into the mix) During the holidays we do more... just because we have more time. We used to foster kids (even the black ones), but some things came up and right now financially isn't so good, so we are waiting to see how things are next year. (Which is partly why I am why I am about all these babies with no dads. You wouldn't believe the number of kids-- or maybe you do-- the are shuffled from foster home to foster home from state home to state home. It's really sad)

I don't know about sniping... but I don't agree with any form of redistribution of wealth. I believe in helping people that are having hard times to give them the perverbial "hand up". But, anything that encourages generation after generation to be dependent on the state... NO.

Because they don't do meth around here. It's pot and I am not going to turn my people in. They all work and are repsonsible contributing members of society. They go to work every day, pay their taxes, raise good kids, and just happen to smoke a little on the weekends. I can make a list a mile long of people more deserving to be in jail. One of them is our sitting Treasury Sect.
