Whenever someone says "I'm not book smart, but I'm street smart", all I hear is "I'm not real smart, but I'm imaginary smart".

Yup..... sometimes I even gave them there black ones priority in our home because they were/are harder to place in the area that I live in. Everyone wants the "good white kids".

Black In America, Black In America 2, and Latino In America are just three different shows they have run. What are they, two hours each? And then they repeat it a few times like any other 24-hour news outlet does.

A two-hour show out of all those hours? Doesn't seem like they're beating a dead horse to me.

I've seen two of these programs, and they are kinda fluffy for my taste, but they do a good enough job at making us comfortable with the fact and the realities of being in those two races, and that those two ethnicities are the leaders of all the other racial groups, which will soon outnumber us whiteys.

You gotta have some serious racial prejudices to be so damned offended by a couple of shows that get some play amidst hundreds of thousands of hours of celebrity bullshit and right/left talking heads who speak in cliched soundbites all the time.

The real question is why FOX News seems to think that only whites exist in America anymore.

I'm sure you are aware that it has been the tradition in the U.S. that a person with one white and one black parent was forced to identify as black even when the person's skin color was white. The only way to identfy as white for those people was to abandon their dark skinned family members and live separately from them.

It is good that people are now beginning to see how ridiculous it is to identfiy mixed race people as being from just one race. Most African-Americans ( light and dark skinned) are mixed race people because many of us have ancestors who were white as well as black. Due to the animus from whites against blacks, many African-Americans were unwilling to claim their mixed race ancestry. Hispanics are also mixed race people, so if Obama had been half black and half Hispanic he could still be identified as the first black President.
I agree that this way of assigning one race to mixed race people doesn't make sense. However, I believe that race is becoming less and less significant in American society and hopefully one day it will have no significance at all.

Are you aware that 95% of minorities [mostly latinos and blacks] vote liberal or don't vote at all????
