I was only 7 when Woodstock happened, but I have cousins who were there, and I know one of the recording engineers who recorded it for the album (met him years later).

These people are all now pretty damned conservative.

Looing at pictures of what my cousins looked like then, and what they look like now, if I didn't know they were the same people, I'd never believe it...

LOL... like I said, my ovbservations are anecdotal... I know a couple of former hippies, and they didn't grow up to be university professors or journalists. One couple consists of a roofer and a nurse, another guy works for the phone company and runs a side business from his home. IOW, hard workers who don't take gov't handouts.

Do you think that maybe people like Pelosi, Reid, Franks (well he may be too young) Dodd, and some of the other leftist freaks in DC did a little too much acid and MDMA in the 60s and are having permanent flashbacks?

Personal responsibility, enterprising spirit, compassion and cooperation have a place in the real-world.

I'd wager that whole crowd would have flipped out if they discovered in their dotage they would have to get their freedom number to get medical care.

Just saying.

Seeing as MDMA wasn't around as a street drug in the 60's, I'd say you could rule that out. I think Pelosi did too much acid though.

I saw the same documentary you saw.....

I loved how they thought "everything should be free" you see the modern connection?

Those "kids" never changed, those kids are now taking those ideals they embraced then and are making them policy now.

most got real jobs and got over it

the rest got into politics
