I pretty much agree with what you say here but that's my point. The values of the country, of Americans were generally accepted by the masses. It wasn't until the amoral values of liberalism took hold in the 60's that everything became gray. Suddenly no one can render a judgment on anything anyone else is doing lest they be labeled "judgmental". That word is right up there with "racism".
Now instead of a moral country we have what you describe, 300 million different versions of what's acceptable behavior. It may look like things are improving to you, not me.

No, of course not. If it were that easy I'd have this country cleaned up in 24 hours. I can give you some specifics on that if you like but they're my ideas, not ideas that I think could ever actually be implemented. You give me a specific item, I'll give my handling of it. I'm betting I could come up with better ideas than those 536 loons up there in D.C.

What, so pluralism and people thinking for themselves are a bad thing? We should all conform to some narrow definition of normality and morality as put forward by yourself? In what way is that moral? More than that i dispute the idea that in the 50's morals where generally accepted and where good; after all whats good in a society where racism is accepted and premoted, where homophobia is the norm and a communist witch-hunt is on?
In an atmosphere dominated by liberals and liberal thinking, yes it would seem that way. But for someone who grew up in the 50's and didn't have any sense of the government being overbearing, it just sounds like a return to sensibilities.
Since you didn't ask, an example would be crime. Instead of this crap that liberals concocted where it's all about rehabilitation and release that in the majority of cases results in more people being violated, in my world it would be about punishment first, and simply be any violent felony is punished as described in the penal code, no reductions by judges, no paroles for "good behavior" only MORE time for poor behavior. Any second violent crime where someone is seriously injured and you're locked away for life, no parole ever, only execution if you become too big of a custody problem.
Improperly obtained evidence would result in penalties for the officials obtaining that evidence, not the release of animals back into society because someone forgot to cross a t in an affidavit for a search warrant.
In a few short years all the serial criminals would be off the streets and society could actually walk around at night in the city without fear...you know...freedom.
Now that may sound like overly "authoritarian" to a liberal but to me it sounds more like the America the Constitution provides for. Then there's abortion, environment, trade agreements, the war with islam....all could be handled with the same degree of common sense were it not for the death grip liberalism, "progressives", have on this country. Some "progress".
Never said that. You can't rob a bank because "you're thinking for yourself" and decide you want to. There are restrictions that society deems necessary. There used to be more, we're the worse for having less. It's really simple.
Small example. In my world when you ran from the police you got a sound beating at the end of the pursuit and then you sat in jail for a year or more. Result: Virtually no police pursuits because idiots feared the outcome. Now: Assholes know that if they drive fast enough the police will disengage and at worst, they'll be on television and have a good laugh with their buddies that night. Result: hardly a day goes by that there isn't some wild ass police chase which endangers everyone, especially the police. That's how the liberal mindset infects society. No one is held responsible for anything. Not that many years ago, they were.

He fancies himself a retired cop and legal expert. From a time in NeverNever Land when all was right in the world.
If indeed the bit about being a retired cop is true, which I seriously doubt, it is well for our country that clowns like that are steadily dying out. Today they're considered, and rightfully so, a disgrace to the uniform.
Not "police brutality" my friend, right and wrong, good and evil. When you chase some bastard for 30 miles and he's endangering hundreds of lives and untold property, he's resisting arrest. When some punk does that he used to be given an appropriate physical response to such "resisting", and his face would be stuffed into the ground and he knows that he's done a bad thing. With you people in charge it is now the police, the Navy Seals, the Marines who are being charged with brutality while the suspects, the dregs of society are playing every advantage the liberal scum of the world has put in place for them. There should be consequences for poor behavior. Where's that going to come from, the liberal answer to law enforcement? Don't make me laugh.
And by the way, in my entire career back then I saw maybe 2 pursuits. It was extremely rare because there was a price to be paid. Now the only ones who pay are the best officers who try to be pro-active.

The only thing here that's noticeable for consistency is the rather sociopathic desires you have to return to a time that never was and manners of behavior that have changed for a reason, and your utter inability to address points that are put to you in any substantive manner whatsoever.
You have my pity.

Since you're apparently utterly unacquainted with any penal code in the US, let me help you out: no matter how far or fast someone tries to outrun the police, it's utterly illegal for the arresting officers to issue a beat-down, tune-up or whatever else you want to call it, for having done so once the suspect has ceased to offer resistance or is in custody. We have this little thing called 'due process', and these places called 'courts' where 'trials' occur. Pity you've never been involved in one to know any better.
