One has to presume that Tiger Woods is working hand in hand with his media agents, his PR people, etc. Since the beginning of his nightmare it has seemed like he's getting terrible advice, making all the wrong decisions.
Now, with this contrived "coming out party" set for tomorrow, rather than calming the anger that's swirling around him, he's contributing to it. I just read that the Golf Writers Association of America is going to boycott his "news event" tomorrow because they are furious with his handling of this conference. It "goes against the grain of everything we believe." The group also reportedly said that, "if they show up to the event -- without the ability to fire off questions -- it gives credibility to an event that isn't worthy of it."
I've thought since the first day that he should have called a press conference and stayed until all the questions were asked. He'd have had this long behind him. But he continues to play games with the press, his fans and his sponsors. I hope he can work some magic tomorrow but I'm not feeling very optimistic for him.

Why do you seem to think he owes you, or anyone besides maybe his wife, any kind of excuse or explanation at all? This matter is, quite simply, noone's business but his own. IMO he should have simply told everyone to go fuck themselves and mind their own business from the beginning and gone back to playing golf. Maybe he'll do that tomorrow but I doubt it, the day of athletes like Ty Cobb, who regularly attacked harassing fans and once shot at an impolite interviewer, are long gone unfortunately.
Yeah, this is about him and his family.
The media is full of jackals who can't help themselves.
Why do you suppose the Golf Writers are boycotting?
Seriously. Who gives a fuck?
Anyone who's all in a tizzy over this needs to get a fucking life...
Because this is the first time in their entire careers where anyone but a handful of Golf fans will ever know they exist, and they'd like to grab some limelight while they can?
Seriously, this whole thing is such a non-issue. IMHO, it is pathetic how hard the media is working to pump this story as though it were significant in any way.

Bullshit. The man used his penis in an immoral and some would say un-natural (not for procreation) way - not as bad as the fags but close. We, as enforcers of American Morality (tm), have every right, even a responsibility, to investigate what happened and pontificate on its evility.
This thread is entirely contradictory to Michael_Q's thread on celebrity privacy. Just thought I'd note that.
"Finding the occasional straw of truth awash in a great ocean of confusion and bamboozle requires intelligence, vigilance, dedication and courage. But if we don't practice these tough habits of thought, we cannot hope to solve the truly serious problems that face us -- and we risk becoming a nation of suckers, up for grabs by the next charlatan who comes along." -Carl Sagan
