Maybe the "silence" is because Vancouver is in Canada and not the U.S. ?

I'm talking about all those WHITE people rioting in Vancouver. But the silence was deafening, actually it was amusing. Now had this been a black riot because a teenager was unjustly shot we all know the exact people who would have beat each other up trying to post the 1st thread about negative black steriotypes.
I'll say this once and let it stand till the end of time. You can paint a skunk 50 colors from the rainbow but its still stinks to high hell, and by skunk I'm talking about you race baiting, ignorant bastards. You know who you are and more importantly so does everyone else. Your attempts to blend in with the average person concerned about such thing fails terribly...
Not that it matters at all what some anonymous poster thinks of you, that's not the point. What matters is, that is what you are; the general crux of the existence of this forum, a source of America's downfall, dishonest, unscruppulous, self-serving and unrepenting mark on the spirit of humanity.

wow........that really bother you, huh? Well, I don't think you can go white here, I think you better go sports fans. Soccer rioting in Europe seems to be pretty common. Maybe sports fans are more child like than those of us who grew up and moved beyond games designed for children.![]()

It really didn't get much press attention because they where all marxist/anarchists.
I didn't see any threads here about it but other forums had quite an abundance of people commenting. For example, a quick search of "vancouver riot" at Freerepublic turned up this:
Freerepublic.com
Interestingly enough the same search term at Daily Kos turned up this:
Daily Kos
"There is no gain in arguing with a poo flinging monkey. While his
gibbering and raucous cries of victory may seem obnoxious in your ears
as you walk away, he will soon be quietly sitting behind his bars again
and licking his own feces off his fingers as you carry on with your day."
Oh well.

I think you're on the right track though - you could unite the anger here. Allbeit for different reasons.
While you may see a slight bias on the coverage, the rest of us will be more than willing to villify these folks - for the reasons noted above. (They're Cabadian, hockey fans, its Vancouver they're trashing up etc etc).
Don't give up.

Sports fans in Vancouver rioted, that's for sure, but anti-capitalist anarchist types used the occasion to make the whole thing worse by blending in the crowd and stoking the anger, as they always do. Big deal. I don't quite get the point the OP is trying to make. Two seperate things happened in those riots for anyone paying attention to it.
