This is what REAL journalism looks like!

MSNBC Host, Guest Consider Whether Tea Partiers Are Addicts, 'Delusional'

Seriously? The TEA Party was acting like addicts?

Um....if that was the case then what were all the other fuckers who didn't want to give up their spending acting like?

I have never - and I mean NEVER - run into so much Alice in Wonderland crap in my entire life. Hell, the Deadheads I used to hang with made more sense than this even when they were on 4 hits of blotter.

GE is a major government contractor/leech that depends heavily on taxpayer money to exist, so of course their propaganda machine is going to spew vitriol at fiscally conservative groups such as the TEA Party.

    Proof?

I wouldnt characterize the teabaggers as "addicts", but they're definitely overly-idealistic and generally un-informed. Their anti-tax attitude helped snarl up the debt ceiling talks and are going to create MAJOR problems in September when this thing comes to a head, taking a weedwhacker to the entire budget is NOT a good idea.

Personally I'm still mystified why people give them the time of day. They have no real message beyond one inane chant, no real leader, no clear plan, no real solutions, and dont seem to really understand the situation. They're basically an angry mob with the political sensibilities to match.
When I gave food to the poor, they called me a saint. When I asked why they are poor, they called me a Communist.

when you start with an ad hominem attack followed by an overly broad generalization in the first sentence you make it easy to stop wasting time reading further

    Ok, so dont.

Or you could, y'know, prove me wrong if my thinking is so bass-ackwards.

What do you not understand about tens of millions of people and their elected representatives that don't want governance as usual to continue?

And you on the other hand must be a fan of tax and spend. I doubt you pay any appreciable income tax, though. How anyone can hop on the "government should encompass all" bandwagon is beyond me.

Well, if the govt is going to provide my cradle to grave care someone is just going to have to pay for it.............
Take a good hard look, it's coming.

Because, for one, it ISN'T tens of millions of people.

For two, they have no other ideas besides "RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE!"

If they had some concrete and realistic ideas, I'd be more willing to take them seriously.

Because, sadly, they have more economic sensibilities (at the 'good for the nation' level) than the various powers that be or have been in Washington for at least 2 and probably more decades. I agree that a more balanced approach would be better, but a more balanced approach doesn't get the groundswell of support that's needed to make Any change. So poorly planned and executed improvements are better than well-planned but never-executed ones.
    Today's forecast: Government corruption.
Tomorrow's forecast: 100% chance of more 'politics as usual'

Maybe it's finally time to vote Libertarian

Sure it is. Why do you imagine they have any weight among the Republicans?

You've kept your head in the sand and let the press shovel crap on top. Let me know when those effective and concrete ideas flow out of the progressive left and are fostered by the Democrats.

I get the distinct impression that the Tea Party and its supporters could give a fiddler's fuck whether you take them seriously.

That seems like a short route to the short-sighted quick-fixes that got us in this mess in the first place.

No, it really isnt. How many people did they pull out during their last "Tax Day Protest"?

Which is weird because I dont watch television news, I read AlJazeera, Reuters, and AP mostly, aside from specialty sources for more focused news.

    That's nice, feeling's mutual.
