In the video a General Electric spokesman says there is 5 billion too many people on this planet. Oh... and those extra people exist only because of oil and gas. (therefore we need to subsidize GE's windmills :rolleyes

Yep, the same corporation that gives Rachel Maddow and Chris Mathews a show, hunts for Bigfoot, takes ancient alien theory and disasterous human-caused global warming prophecy seriously and has it's CEO as the chairman of Obama's "jobs council" is now telling us how many of us should be allowed to exist.

There's a sector among progressives that see a down-sizing of the human population as necessary for human civilization and the planet. I don't see many volunteers among their ranks however.

Most people I've mentioned it to never knew that National Geographic was owned by General Electric. A lot of people know they own MSNBC, but their propaganda on other channels like the History Channel and Nat Geo tends to slip under the radar.
