i mean, first off, no one really did nothin' to aid the fallen homeless swabby, 'cept that one lass.

secondly, folk who were nearby coulda hurled themselves into the train behind that fella and challenged him and his crew to a mighty battle...or jumped in and pulled that thingy that stops the train.

third, ye know that a single elder swabby takin' taunts from a group 'o urban youths can lead to trouble, someone coulda launched a pre-emptive strike and settled the matter.

When a group of 10 or so individuals proves they will deck an old man, I'm not going to be the brave soul who single-handedly brings them to justice and gets the shit kicked out of myself. Its far more practical to observe what they looked like and any other evidence identifying them, get some help for the old man, and report it all to the cops.

It's pretty simple...you help the guy. The attacker and his buddies were on the train so it wouldn't be possible to go after them directly but you help the guy and you start rounding up witnesses.

Now then, it you are on the train and see the guy get smacked....whole different story. If there's 10 of them and one of you you start making notes - what are they wearing, how tall, how much do they weigh, listen for names, listen for where they're going, etc., and tell the conductor....he can get the cops on the horn to meet the fuckers at the next station.

In my defense, I don't condone rape as part of the punishment of prisoners. I advocate killing them. That's actually not true at all. I mean, that's easy to say, but what you really mean is "nobody wanted to do anything." Here are some things you could do:

1) Legal: Got on the train with him, called the police on your cell phone, and told them where you were.
2) Legal: Organize a mob of people to grab the guy and restrain him until the police arrived.
3) Not Legal: Came up behind him and stabbed him in the face a few times.
4) Not Legal: Raped him and then dump his body onto the train tracks and then call his mom and laugh at her for being a failure at life.

See, there are four perfectly valid options available to you.

Use to be you treated elder people with respect now we have young thugs. this is what happens when the parents are not teaching kids.

That's why I advocate corporal punishment. For both parents and children.

The homeless dude made a few subway mistakes: he made eye contact, he spoke to the trash, he turned his back and he was weak, that's just inviting this stuff in wonderful urban America.

A timely 911 call could stop the train by the next stop, I'm pretty sure my favorite subway served municipality has an emergency line for subway crime so they can apprehend "escaping" perps.

Why? How is this new? Yeah those kids are dickheads, but this is not exactly a new phenomenon, it's just in ages past we gave those kids weapons and armor and didn't care so long as they weren't messing with OUR peasants.
