Pardon my french, but why isn't that mother-fucker still in jail?
ahoy c18 and welcome to USPO,
that was a great interview, matey.
his point 'o view shows whar OWS and the Tea Party goals dovetail.
shrink government, which in turn gets alotta the motivation fer K street to lobby congress fer that government largesse outta the picture.
i enjoyed it, aye.

The things that this man says should be on every news program, everyday, and all newspapers should have it on the front page in large letters each day until we get this corruption out of the gov't by and for the people. Short of that or OWS growing exponentially, nothing will ever happen.
This sort of stuff is immoral, unfair, and should be a hanging offense.

This is his first and most important point:
“First of all, on the overall, it’s gonna require the American people asking their federal government to do a lot less than they do because the federal government is involved in so many areas with so many different things that it opens the door for frankly rampant corruption in all sorts of areas and a lot of participation by 20,000 lobbyists who run around Washington, D.C.,. So on sort of a 30,000 foot view, that’s one thing that’s gotta happen for ultimately for this ever to be cleaned up. In the shorter term, what people should insist upon is cutting the tie between lobbying, and between advocacy and between our federal government, and the public servants and the money.
He's also right about the lobbyists. Congressmen should not be allowed to take gifts of any sort from lobbyists, or direct campaign donations.

Jack Abramoff has absolutely no credibility.
He's a fucking con man!!!
Mainstream America is demanding that its gov't do a lot more to get Wall Street to pay us back, after all, we saved their asses 3 years ago.
Abramoff was part of a corrupt system meant to empty the public purse, enrich the private sector along with lobbyists and speculators, so that righties could then make the excuse that "oh gosh, gollee, can't afford Social Security or Medicare or anything else....oh well.....".
Abramoff should be behind bars instead of profiting from a book. He's a part of why mainstream America has left their houses and are on the streets, including retired police captains and war veterans.

Um, Wall Street paid back TARP. Why is the left angry at companies that paid back their bailouts, but sympathetic to companies that have not? Weird.

LOL!
If Wall Street paid back the money, where is it? It's been spent. There is no way that this or any other Congress is going to return money to the American taxpayer. That's just not going to happen. This, TARP, was mostly a con game perpetrated on the American Tax payers. That money was given out to save the butts of big campaign contributers then when the money was "paid back" it was just used for other pet projects of these Congress Critters. But now they, the Congress Critter, don't have to explain how they got all this "extra" money.
Yes, WE the People, are apparently that stupid.
May I suggest that come this 6 NOV 2012, consider NOT voting for any, not one, no matter the party, incumbents. Throw them ALL out!

I love it that he is telling it all in his book. The truth should be told. Go Jack!
Keep smiling for world peace.
President Obama's second term begins January 20, 2013
A new interview with Jack Abramoff went live yesterday - he goes into detail about lobbying and high-level bribery in DC, and touches quite a bit on the various scandals he's been a part of. I gotta say I totally understand why people don't like him, but I'm still glad he's working to expose corruption. Someone needs to, hmm?
Here's the interview if anyone's interested - it's called "Secret Weapons Inside Capitol Hill".
