There have been several threads that touched on education and "diversity".

Well I have a question. Is a black person dumber than a white person? Is a Hispanic dumber than a White person?

If the answer to those questions is no, which is the only answer possible in my opinion.

Now why does a black person or Hispanic person get a break on standards for what they have to reach? If as a White person to graduate I need say a 2.5 GPA and a Black person needs a 2.0 GPA, my question is why? If the black person is no dumber or smarter due to being black why then are the standards lower. I don't know the actual GPA numbers but I do know from my sister that the standards for minorities to be considered competent in the material are lower than the standards for whites. My sister is a teacher and has been for around a decade.

Don't people think that it denigrates and degrades minorities if they are allowed to pass when they have learned less?

The Conspiracy Theory on this one is -- What better way to destroy and devalue Minorities than to lower the bar they have to reach while keeping the Whites with a higher bar which ultimately will make the gap between white and minority greater. Democrats the champions of Minorities are championing a cause that reduces minorities and their abilities.
