Thread: Obama Consults with MSNBC Hosts

Perhaps Obama is consulting Sharpton and Maddow on Tax Rates and on how to reach across the aisle as it were?
Or perhaps Obama is delivering the next set of talking points that he wants them to cover?

Obama campaigning for raising the tax rates on the top earners? He does seem to have a real hard on for this, reguardless of whether it makes any sort of significant difference in how the numbers add up in reality.

Ok, so what's the problem?
The president meeting with the press?
Bush hired a gay prostitute to pose as a reporter, and you guys thought it was fine.
What's wrong with real members of the media?

Whomever the gay prostitute you are so fixated on was, he's every bit as legitimate a "member of the media" as the Rev. Al "false witness" Sharpton is.

Why wouldn't I think, "Geez, Obama is co-opting the right wing media, by offering them the chance to meet him, they have to tone down their rhetoric"
He had dinner at George Will's house, with conservative pundits.
Obviously, he is co-opting them, they have to temper their rhetoric, they got a chance to meet the president, to ask questions, to get answers, they also get the rush that comes with being invited to dinner with the president, and they'll be a little deferential, because that's how it works.
He gets them all on the same page, so that the pro-Obama pundits have the right talking points, and the anti-Obama pundits have a little wind knocked out of their sails.
And it's all a game called politics, Obama knows that every GOP member of congress is reeling from the election that they thought they were going to win.
If they see the Liberal press more concerted and the conservative press acting deferential, and see this reflected in their constituents, they'll sense a shift to the left, and it's go-along to get-along time....

LOL. MSNBC has such a low viewership that it shouldn't even attract your attention.

But let's think about that for a moment. Fox is big in viewership, most of it at night in regards to the non hard news opinon shows. MSNBC hardly has any viewers in comparison. One could look at that and conclude that the left is not as rabidly hyper partisan as the right, because FOX and MSNBC are opposite ends of a stick. The rabid partisans on the right seem to drawf the rabid partisans on the left, going by this measure. Down the middle folks get their information from CNN and the major networks.

I almost dropped my coffee cup when i read this on FACEBOOK today.... then researched and found that this was true..
