Re: Wal-Mart donates $272.9 million to charity in 2006
Quote:
Yes, you are right, $600 makes quite a difference to someone making $16,000 a year. But with the obscene profits they make, why not raise wages to a point where a family can afford to live w/o also having to accept food stamps, WIC, earned income credits, free school lunches, Medicaid, etc.? Wal-Mart is a drain on our collective economy, in that a huge portion of their employees subsist on some sort of tax-funded program. Corporations have more than just a duty to their share-holders; they too are a part of our society, and as such, should be held accountable for their actions (or lack thereof). This retarded hangover from Reagan's legacy (you know the one, the one that says, "I only worry about me & how much I can grab for myself") has proven itself unwieldy. In short, fuck Wal-Mart. Let's bury the cock-suckers once & for all. (PS: Pardon my French. Been reading a lot of my better works lately. The curse words seem to effortlessly flow from my poison keyboard these days.)

All I see are exaggerated talking points, most of which have absolutely no fact to them whatsoever. You know very little about Wal-Mart or how they operate. I think you got all of that off a union flyer.

Re: Wal-Mart donates $272.9 million to charity in 2006
I'd go into detail with all sorts of links, proof, etc. But I know damn well you'll never read it, I know you'll close your eyes & claim this shit doesn't exist, so why bother? Nothing I said is exaggerated. In fact, it's a relatively toned down list if I do say so myself.
I know quite a bit about how Wal-Mart works. I was in management w/their lil' ol' company quite awhile back. It is you who has his head in the sand. PS: If you seriously wanna know specifics, lemme know & I'll post 'em. But I'm not gonna go through the masturbatory exercise if all you'll have to debate back with is your usual "nuh-uh" tactics.
