Employment rises 180k in March 07
Another good month for employment in March. This makes about 11 million new jobs since Bush took office. Unemployment has continued to drop from 6.5% down to 4.4%, only a few tenth of a percent higher than when Bush took over.

Re: Employment rises 180k in March 07
180,000 net new jobs sounds impressive, and it is one of the best months the Bush Administration has had.
But during the Clinton years, the monthly AVERAGE was 240,000 net new jobs. A good month during the Clinton Years was 500,000 net new jobs.

and at 4.4 % the stagnation concept rears its head...it would be fair to say I think, that anyone who needs a job or better yet wants a job can find one...so the comparisons mean sqaut really..when Clinton was in the 4's in unemployment average he was hailed as a giant ..where’s the hailing now? can you tell me? because I don't see it..or maybe...just maybe, the media doesn't care because the cowboy is in office..its it's in their interest to laud this news.....and you know it....so lets be real.... oh and the numbers regards 240.000 vs 180.000 are illusionary really as the average is what counts....

The average monthly net new jobs under Bush is closer to 60,000. Take away new government jobs, and new jobs in the food service industry, and the Bush total new jobs is ZERO.
