The prices of homes here in Southern California are outrageous. A friend of mine sold his house for $714,000 in a bad neighborhood right across the street from the neighborhood crack dealer - just a couple of weeks ago. It wasn't very big and also needed a lot of work to be done on it. But the bubble is about to burst and he wanted to cash in on it:
