Re: Gas Prices Tanking

I pay 3.20 for the cheap stuff for my durango (over $60 to fill it up). Yet my wife complains about me wanting to sell it and buying a motorcycle ($70 a month for the first two years) and letting her drive the Nissan maxima. go figure.

Re: Gas Prices Tanking

I suspect her complaints aren't about the mileage, much as my wife's wouldn't be.

you are correct. I think they have a little to do with the fact that one of her best friends died in a motorcycle accident and I laid a bike down at about 100mph.

Yeah, they get all sensitive about that.

For me, it's kind of like my ink. I'll get more ink when I choose to, and I'll get a bike at some point in the future. She'll be pissed, but she'll get over it.

Um... Yeah. I'd love to see gas prices actually tank. The prices have continued to fluctuate and the trend line is still a steady incline.

So I'll believe it when I see it. We have great reason to expect that gas prices will continue to climb over time. What evidence is there that prices will park themselves below the $3 mark or even maintain the current price?

that's another thing. I have a piece that I haven't worked on in 2 or 3 years. It's going to take atleast another 9 hours to finish. Hot rod flames on my side. from waist to armpit and bellybutton to just around the beginning of my back. It's higher at the arm pit and lower towards the front.

Hmm, I'll be making another $800 a month at this new job, maybe I need to just go get it done. However, once it's done, I'll just want more. LOL

Re: Gas Prices Tanking

It is an addiction, that's for sure. It's too bad my wife dislikes them so much.

Re: Gas Prices Tanking

my very conservative wife (raised baptist but has lightened up ALOT since we met) thinks they're cool. She thinks about getting one alot, but is worried because of what she does for a living. She meets with so many high level government types and wants them to continue to take her seriously. I told her to get one on her upper thingh and they BETTER NOT see it.

I have about 30 different pieces and I get asked all the time "How many are you going to get?" I tell them, "I'll stop when I get it down to one tattoo"

It hasn't been low in a few years. But anyway, you usually do not give coverage of what is expected. You report events rather than lack of events and when a product is at a reasonable price it isn't a news worth event. When something that is a staple product that everybody has to buy since it has few alternatives goes up by such a huge percentage in a very short time then that gets attention. Our local news did a story about how milk prices are going up this summer but I wouldn't have expected them to have a leading story six months ago that said "Milk prices are average right now".

Re: Gas Prices Tanking

The media hyped the recent 30c increase and congress demanded investigations. The media was silent during the recent 30c decrease, as is congress. Granted, this is an obvious observation, that the media and congress love to use non events for political gain.

I paid $3.19/gallon last night from the same gas station that I paid $0.89/gallon in December 2001.

Not to mention that we still have most of the summer to go which means it will probably go higher from what it is right now.

I think we're all waiting for gas prices to "tank" back to around 1.50 per gallon.

I highly doubt that will ever happen.
