Somehow the IRS has managed to botch the deployment of the stimulus checks.

These seem to be only the electronic version (direct deposits), but some people are getting money they weren't supposed to and some people who were supposed to get a stimulus check aren't getting any money.

Leave it to the government.....

Seriously though. Color me not surprised on the stimulus check screw up. I mailed my one dollar check into the state government months ago, and it has yet to be cashed. And, that's roughly 1/50th of the total inefficiency of the fed.

It get's better.
I get an e-mail from Turbo Tax today, it seems that everyone who used Turbo Tax or any other software and chose to deduct the filing fee (as opposed to paying it by credit card) from their taxes - are being delayed, and the IRS cannot answer how long it will be delayed.

That's the same boat I'm in..... as long as they don't additionally send it into someone else's bank account when they finally do get around to it.

Well, I guess I'm a bit lucky that mine was deposited on time and was the correct amount. It's now doing a wonderful job of stimulating my savings account.

By the hair of my chinnie-chin-chin... I'm up for promotion right now, so if this were a year later, probably not.

Actually I have no idea if/how much I might get.
When I go to the IRS site - it says "no info available"...I know other people who have the same problem.
I know mine is reduced, but U have gotten a 100 different stories on how much it will be reduced...so I don't know.

Ha, imagine the timing! I'm up for promotion as well. Oh and I didn't file taxes this year. I wonder if that means that I won't be eligible for the rebate. But if I am after filing late, I'll be sure to thank the Chinese.
