Low cost gas engine doubles fuel economy
This is brilliant, exciting stuff!! I expect more and more innovation over the next few years. Combine this with Solar, Wind, Nuclear, Clean Coal etc..and it won't be long before we are truly energy independent.

hummm how much for one engine etc.? well look, remember folks that order for any of the is to be truly worthy regarding dollars and sesne, the price of gas like it or not has to stay north of like $3.50......which I don't think will be a problem for quite a while.

Well, if true, can someone please explain how such a marvel came to be without massive federal spending? Could it be that the private sector, driven by greedy market forces innovates better than bloated federal ATM dependent researchers?

And they've been pushing this design for years, the article says they've been pushing the DoD to use it for an airplane since 2001. And you can have a car with gas over $4/gal, ask any European, they've been doing it for decades.
