Spending slowed to a 16 year low - Unemployment roles to a 5 year high
Just more bad news to add to the blizzard of existing bad news.
Consumer spending slow-down rate worst since 1992...most people receiving unemployment since 2003. Quote:

In the general trend of malaise, I was keeping my books last night...
Has anyone else taken an absolute thrashing in the market this week? Most of my investment in that capacity is long term, so it's not as if I depend on it like available cash or even like a semi-liquid thing, but still, the sheer amount made me want to take a couple of slugs of whisky and go straight to bed.
