Not sure its ever been tried. I know that millions of people take care of their own health insurance and retirement without the govt providing it, so it must work. Im not saying the local govts should even be in charge of anything, just that the federal govt shouldnt.

What's it?

Anyway, I understand where you're coming from when you say that the federal government shouldn't be involved in health care. I'm personally not sure of whether it should or shouldn't be myself.

It is non federal social programs. You asked if there was proof state govts could do better than federal govts. There is proof that individuals can do better than federal govt, which is one step better.

The goal of state and federal governments though is to equally provide all of their citizens with these benefits. The goal of the individual is to simply provide for him or herself and family, so the evidence doesn't really apply.
