Free government golf carts

John Stossel : Free Stuff From Sam - Townhall.com

This is the typical kind of crap the federal government creates when it meddles in things it has no bussiness in. But hey if you want the tax payers to buy you a new golf cart just read John Stossel's article.

Can I request that a cooler be installed on the back of mine? Also, does in come in blue plaid?

Re: Free government golf carts

If you're paying that much for a golf cart, you should be getting a gas powered jacked up one with a thumping system and silver flames on the side. Just saying.

Re: Free government golf carts

It's weird the IRS approved this, aren't they in the business of denying credits and deductions? Anyone have a clue what this was originally intended for? All electric cars or something like a Prius?

Re: Free government golf carts

This petty little earmarks need to be chopped into pieces, but bringing our troops home, cutting the size of the military-industrial complex, eliminating most federal agencies, slashing budgets, and minimizing government completely would be even better.

Re: Free government golf carts

I ran over a dog once on a golf cart, that stupid thing ran right out in front of me. He laid there a second, then jumped up, looked at me like I was crazy, and ran off. Imagine how horrible that would have been if I was in a car.

Nah.

Bought my first car off my brother in 1977. It was a '65 Plymouth Belvedere that he got from our parents. I paid my brother forty bucks for it. That car was a fuckin' monster. My brother hit a telephone pole with it, and he really fucked up the telephone pole. I wish I still had it today; I see them selling for between $15 and $25K these days.

My second car was a '75 Plymouth Fury, with a 360/4-barrel police package in it. I got that car in '79. Just what a 17 year old kid needs, too. A car that looks like it'll do 0-60 in four hours, but would leave Camaros and Firebirds in the dust. It was scary quick off the line.

I paid $1,000.00 for that car...

but aren't 1,000 1975 dollars worth like 1,000,000 2009 dollars? so technically you actually paid a million dollars for your second car.

edit: for the record i am just fucking with you. my first car cost me $3,000 in 2001 and my second cost me $5,500 in 2005.

Re: Free government golf carts

Yeah Steve. I think you have to include inflation when you list those dollar amounts.

My first car was $4k, and my second was $1850.
