This is the arrogance of the elite and their tools ... Government and MNC's rape the country for record corporate profits and Cain blames the jobless for our problems. What a POS.

Herman Cain Blames The Unemployed, GOP Debate Audience Cheers (VIDEO)
Herman Cain recently criticized the Occupy Wall Street protesters, saying, "Don't blame Wall Street. Don't blame the big banks. If you don't have a job and you're not rich, blame yourself."

Ron Paul : Intelligent man responds
"I think Mr. Cain has blamed the victims," he said. "There's a lot of people that are victims of this business cycle. We can't blame the victims. But we also have to point -- I'd go to Washington as well as Wall Street, but I'd go over to the Federal Reserve. They create the financial bubbles."
“If we open up our borders … we could suppress wages of middle class jobs” – Alan Greenspan
We need to suppress the wage levels of the skilled. We need to suppress wages in comparison to the “lesser skilled ” - Alan Greenspan

Cain blamed the people responsible for their own situations. Gee, guess he shouldn't have told the truth?

So just to be clear... the massive jump in unemployment was simply the result of millions upon millions of previously employed people all suddenly becoming lazy at the exact same time.

I'm sure all these people were empowered to export jobs to China.

Some things out of our control that effect our inability to control our employment ... trade policy, H1B immigration, illegal immigration, immigration. So your making $70,000 plus a year and your company applies for 21 H1B employees from India. These imports replace 17 American workers. You educated yourself and government decided to attack your field. Out of your control. Government makes a decision to de-industrialize the country ... many plants are closed and leave the country. Out of your control ... yet they didn't export banking or Wall St which could have been done cheaper elsewhere.

No? So when someone (like Cain or 9aces) argues that the millions and millions of people who suddenly found themselves unemployed are "responsible for their own situations, what do they mean?

You're missing the point as usual, Michael.

Manufacturing jobs have been moving outside U.S. borders for decades now. While an unskilled laborer may have no real ability to prevent his factory from closing down, if he chooses to ignore the obvious trend here in the United States and develop skills necessary to get another job than he is responsible for his unemployment when his factory closes down. Trade policy, legal and illegal immigration, etc. are all things that have always existed and take a good amount of time to affect things to the point that entire industries cease to exist.

Sure, off-shore to communist China and laugh at the Americans who were foolish enough to work for the greedy pigs.
    Oh yeah, like that one.

Off-shoring without Comparative Advantage is anethma to intelligent foreign trade.
Thus, both Cons and Libs are missing something due to contributor influence.

Please leave emotions at the door as money is a great motivator and both parties, consisting of imperfect human beings, are subject to such motivation.

The jobs that hurt were the ones which went to China. The labor differential is greater then Mexico. Trade policy initiated under NAFTA 94, WTO 95, and China PNTR 2000 "obviously" have not always existed and I suspect you missed that point, as these were legislated agendas. As factories improve productivity in manufacturing and jobs are lost ... those remaining jobs became all the more critical for the economy. De-industrialization was a "plan" not an accident of cheap labor.

Also the fantasy of unskilled labor neglects the training and education of those who worked in those manufacturing facilities. If you haven't worked in one your "clueless". Profit margins were greater in China ... period. If you would like to discuss that uneducated workforce ... we can go into more depth.

Now if you close down manufacturing jobs ... you also kill the multiplier of jobs created in communities around the factories. In turn lost income fails to stimulate a consumer driven market for small business profits. What that means is your screwing the economy ... not real complicated.

How many jobs in America couldn't be exported under H1B? We already have admin jobs selected for export to India (outsourcing). So why don't we H1B every computer programmer in the country?

Your missing the point Wagner ... job exports have destroyed the economy and the function of government isn't just the bottom line like a corporation ... its the interests of all its citizens.

I can't really keep responding to you when your posts are so irrational and erratic.

I don't mind having a conversation with you but you have to be more coherent.

Facts have a way of drawing that response from the right.

You're not posting facts, Michael. You're really just posting gibberish.
