John Locke (Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy)
"Locke was born in Wrington to Puritan parents of modest means. His father was a country lawyer who served in a cavalry company on the Puritan side in the early stages of the English civil war. His father's commander, Alexander Popham, became the local MP, and it was his patronage which allowed the young John Locke to gain an excellent education. In 1647 Locke went to Westminster School in London. The importance of Westminster school in the intellectual life of the seventeenth century can scarcely be exaggerated. Locke was a King's Scholar. The King's Scholars were a small group of special boys who had the privilege of living in the school and who received a stipend for two or three years before standing for election for either Christ Church, Oxford or Trinity College Cambridge. While the “major elections” were probably political, the “minor elections” or “challenges” were among the most genuinely competitive admissions processes in English schools of the period. Locke did not succeed in the challenge until 1650. "

The only reference to privacy in TNT regards prayer; otherwise it is a gregarious work encouraging ACTS, not to mention rendering unto caeser.
I respect someone's opinion when TNT is not interjected to support a claim that isn't supported by the scripture.

Yes. It is part of George Soros push that the Constitution should be taught in a new age interpretative way that supports socialism. That it is largely based on the Bible, which is about the salvation of an individual soul is why the Left has nothing but contempt for Christians, being so arrogant as to suppose they misunderstand their own religion.

The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.
You take unlimited personal liberty clearly spelled out in THE document to limit government and pretend the exact opposite.

I think you are confusing Buddhism with the Judeo-Christian bible. Buddhism is about saving the individual soul. The Judeo-Christian Bible is about how an individual acts in a community. All the commandments, including “You shall have no other God before me”, are laws for the individual in society. Whether they came from God, or, Mosses was a very clever charlatan, the Bible was and is the basis for western society, the most successful society in history.

The knuckleheads are not the ones we need to convince; they wash with the tide. I still believe that most politicians want to be Jimmy Stewart in “Mister Smith goes to Washington”. I think that most of them want to do a good job. The problem is convincing them that our current trade policies are destroying the American middle class. To do that, we first need to get them to listen and that means numbers. Social media has the potential to unite the voices of the faithful, be they in a labor union, a university, a white collar job, or, the corporate board room and to make that common voice heard.
