Favoring capital gains or any income source over another creates market distortions
You also have to recognize that lower long term capital gains help create jobs and increase federal revenue.
Since we have the lowest capital gains rates in years, where are the jobs and the federal revenue?
You can't turn normal income into capital gains.
    Accountants do it every day
I don't know but probably because you don't care if capital is reduced, job creating money is removed from circulations, unemployment would go up, and business cycles would not go as high.
Again, Lowest capital gains rates in many decades, where are the jobs, where is the fabulous business cycle?

Business is profitable and workers are producing well.
If unemployment is high, why are all the business visas still here?
If unemployment is high, why are we bringing in more business visas?
If automation is responsible for requiring fewer employees why all the business visas?
The rest of the questions will take more time and effort than I am willing to spend at the moment. It is nap time. But one easy answer is, the pay for the jobs available probably will not satisfy American workers so business visas are issued to secure labor. Labor in our country is pricing itself out of the market our consumers are willing to pay. Many people SAY they are willing to pay the higher price, but few actually do.

No wonder we have a few million foreclosure in process.
It's good to have a global employment pool.

Originally warehouse work (union) then inside and then outside sales. I later moved on and became a technician repairing electronics and teaching auto-pilot and navigation device repairing. Then I started to manage industrial facilities overhauling general electronics, real estate on the side. Finally I toyed with rehabilitation counseling as an internship for my Ed.S degree.

Baloney! Equalizing long term capital gains with regular income distorts investment capital reducing job creation and ultimately could cause another recession.

Since we have the lowest capital gains rates in years, where are the jobs and the federal revenue?
Hiding from an administration's unstable business policies.

    Accountants do it every day.
A capital gain is a capital gain and cannot be created except by specific means in the IRS code.

Not just for business, but also as a future market for our goods and services and is the humanist way to go.

All 3. We were forecasting as much as 9 months between order/manufacture/deliver/ then consumer sales.

No way! At the time we repaired down to the individual component as most equipment did not become modularized until much later. Tubes, individual solid state devices, capacitors, resistors, coils etc. Replacing a $.12 resistor to repair a $500 device was practical. Later in the military we had different levels of maintenance/repair. One level replaced the entire device and sent it to the next level who may replace modules or circuit cards, then those items were sent to another level which repaired down to the component using computer based diagnostics. It was still less expensive than swapping cards or modules and tossing them.Bye now.
