I don't know what Fox News has to do with anything, but I've misrepresented nothing. Further, you've failed to explain the end of the first Ice Age. Then again, I suspect that's a discussion you're ill-prepared to enter into...

Why would you say this? We lived in our current physical form for thousands of years without being as damaging and stupid as we are now. We need only rediscover our connection to the land and relearn sustainability.

Because according to studies FOX viewers are the most uninformed of Americans, as they are subject to the most mis-information. You seem to fit the mold..

I am very well prepared to discuss all the ice ages. But what exactly for? Are you suggesting that because their have been glacial and interglacial periods in the past that this somehow excludes human civilization from being a destructive force, or from altering in a negative way earth systems? How exactly does the existence of ancient climate change mean that we should continue to go about poisoning and destroying our only habitat in the universe?

[OREILLY MODE]Those studies were sponsored by Soroes billionnaire with a hidden agenda and published by far-left smear-sites who hate america![/OREILLY MODE]

That seems to be the the standard reaction at fox.

I'm not interested in having a discussion with someone who's so pissy.

Your idea is a stupid one. If it were ever to come to pass, you would rue the day you ever thought of it...

I don't agree. I think the world can be so much better than the big garbage heap we have so far made of it. If it takes the collapse of the global economy to wake us from our pathetic slumber, than so be it. At least the daily challenge of living would put some meaning back into life.

My life has plenty of meaning. Clearly, you feel otherwise with regards to your own.

That's sad...

Yes. The transition will be ugly. No doubt.

Well, lets just say the daily grind is extremely meaningless. There are other sources of real valuable meaning in my life, but no other part of my life is so dominated by the apparent need to earn money, be efficient, and further the economy along. This definitely makes me sad, as i find no meaning or value in this process. And when i look around me all i see are people who do this day in and day out...some have also recognized the lack of any meaning in this standard mode of life, while most just seem to have absorbed themselves in it, completely in love with consuming and over consuming. I guess it all just seems so absurd.

Do you support abortion and partial birth abortion? If you do, do you think you have a soul?

Re: Arctic melt faster than projected.

Ok we're going from melting ice to a collapsing economy to fox news to the meaning of life to the 35-hour workweek to partial birth abortion.

The modern industrial ape is the busiest and most overworked of all animals.

Our indigenous counterparts had all kinds of free time to socialize, celebrate, and just experience the natural world. I think i'm starved for animal nature, too much of my time spent denying i'm not an animal.
