Insulate the Glaciers
5 Duct Tape Methods to Save the Earth - Popular Science

Posting this because it took me by surprise. You have to read each link inside the main link that I've posted.
Some of the concepts really stunned me and I was shock to hear that it is either being done or at least being considered.

While I'm a big proponent of the "don't mess with Mother Nature" theory, in actuality, I like two of the ideas - the tree farms and the wetlands ideas.

I think the other ideas - insulating glaciers, salt water ice cubes and the cooling pumps are prone to having more negative effects on the environment than the positive effects they intend.

It is interesting reading, though, in that it is rather stunning.

I am an American. That's the way most of us put it, just matter of factly. They are plain words, those four: you could write them on your thumbnail, or sweep them clear across this bright autumn sky. But remember too, that they are more than just words. They are a way of life. So whenever you speak them; speak them firmly, speak them proudly, speak them gratefully. I am an American. ...a tradition

LOL, I was really stunned that they are insulating some of the Alps already.....That is a project that I wouldn't mind seeing.
