Professionalism is valued in the scientific community. Emotional outbursts are seriously frowned upon. Too bad you seem to think this is an "argument against climate change".

If it is not an argument about climate change, why are you bringing the topic up in this thread ? The subject matter of the thread is climate change, not whether scientists are allowed by their peers to show emotions or not.

(Besides you did write that a scientist who shows emotions is not a professional, hence not credible.)

I wonder if Si modo thinks that Oppenheimer was a professional ?

What I am bringing up is crystal clear. Shall I repeat myself again, or do you think you could review what is already there? But, I'll give you a hint: professionalism.

What vote are you talking about?

wWhere did you come up with that crap?
BBC NEWS | Science/Nature | Climate deal sealed by US U-turn

this was also reported widely in the media in my country, and in other national news sources I have looked at.

Is the US media keeping Americans in the dark, or is it just you who is in the dark?
I'm not in the dark. I know that there was no fucking vote, I know that the delegates at the conference in Bali were not there to vote yes or no on any fucking thing.

Voting was not the purpose of the event.

The US media televised the conference live. I saw it.

Thank you c-span. Brian Lamb recently got that Presidential medal of Freedom for a reason, because it keeps Americans out of the dark. In the USA we do not have to rely on second or third hand interpretations, mischaracterizations and presumptuous ass-backwards analysis from pinkopressco's BBC.

I do not give a fuck about BBC stories because I know for a fact that BBC lies consistantly. BBC has zero credibility. If I want to know what was said at the Bali conference I will just watch the fucking Bali conference as opposed to consulting some stupid-ass BBC article that only idiots take seriously.

And, of course, you can prove any of your accusations from your rant, right?

Don't know. Don't care.

Back up your accusations against the BBC.

Kinda hypocritical, no?

Matt
1) You have no idea whatsoever about why the conference took place there and not in NY. Perhaps the persons involved weren't in NY in the first place. For example, the US delegate Paula Dobriansky only represents the USA in the UN on the issue of climate change - she probably doesn't work in NY all year long.

2) Having a few diplomats take the plane is negligible compared to the progress that could have been made - however small the progress. (unless of course some of the diplomats decide to block it all).

3) You need to be pretty desperate if you need to resort to such ridiculous arguments. Is it this hard for you to accept some facts? Do you prefer humiliating yourself like that?
