Jupiter needs hybrid vehicles
...or to get rid of their coal-fired power stations...
...or stop their cattle from farting... ...or mandate compact [mercury enriched...mmmm!] fluorescent bulbs... (and so on...) Take action now! Jupiter's Three Red Spots (cool picture) Money quote: "Jupiter's recent outbreak of red spots is likely related to large scale climate change as the gas giant planet is getting warmer near the equator." Man-made Global Warming: nothing but a colossal global socialist money and power grab made possible courtesy of the ignoramuses capable of believing in that bullshit. If they were a tad stupider, they'd enact a tax to fix Jupiter. Meanwhile, this NASA jackass (article link) wants to make challenging the new climate change bullshit orthodoxy a crime. Ain't that the just about the only way leftists ideas can survive...hothouse flowers protected from scrutiny by greenhouses of oppression? Boggles the mind.

Re: Jupiter needs hybrid vehicles
Is this in contrast with or in addition to, say, brainwashing kids while they are too young to figure out that humans never really coexisted with dinosaurs?

And as far as that goes, I think my kid is better off with an introduction to Christianity and Christian principles than not. Even if he discards many of the particulars in time, the foundations of the philosophy will likely remain. You don't like/need it? Meh, that's your choice. Advantage, him, though. Meanwhile, the New Religion of Man-Made Global Warming is nothing but hysteria sourced from self-important self-interested activists determined to use it as a method to achieve global redistribution of wealth (read: socialism). They follow the usual leftist M.O. of interjecting their nonsense into public school curricula, squashing dissent by attempting to marginalize and/or punish (quite literally) opponents, and generally making their way of thinking dominate just about every form of communication. Exposure to this bad religion is compulsory. Subscription to it, however, is heretofore avoidable. Just like the geniuses that confidently predicted an ice age by now or the ones that were convinced we'd already be suffering a global heterosexual AIDS pandemic...these climate people will eventually have to admit they're full of shit. Here's hoping they actually man up and take responsibility for their, um, irresponsibility.

Re: Jupiter needs hybrid vehicles
I pay good money above-and-beyond my property taxes to ensure that it is not only "in my kid's classroom", but that it is integrated into every subject he takes from arithmetic to spelling...from history to science.
That is my choice. As for whatever slivers of religion still exist in public schools...fine...whatever...just as long as you treat the new cult/religion of Man Made Global Warming the same way. I personally don't care if public school kids end up gimped because of a lack of faith and principles (again, advantage, my boy)...I just don't want them to emerge especially retarded because of forced indoctrination into the Global Warming cult.

Re: Jupiter needs hybrid vehicles
How much do we know about Jupiter?
How much do we know about Earth? I would say we know more about earth... I don't know if climate change is manmade or not... I look at earths and think... why not? Humans have totally transformed the planet.... from vegetation, river paths, whole eco-systems have been destroyed or created... So why should it be impossible to change how things work on our tiny planet and the 15-30km atmosphere we have... NOW: People never answer me when I ask the big question: "What's so bad about fighting Global Climate change? If it exists we may save the our civilization from extreme consequenses - if it doesn't we still got more energy efficiency and oil independent in the process" BTW: The whole thing creates a shitload of local jobs at least here ![]() |

By the way, the religious idea of man's coexistence with dinosaurs - an idea that is more often associated with "rightism" than "leftism" - is demonstrably deplorable. I believe that's a tad more than can be said about the idea depicted by this thread, whether or not it can be argued to have a "leftist" origin and/or application.
