You cannot split water without a power source. What is that power source? Generally electrolysis might be expected to be done with solar energy, which then makes hydrogen power a solar power problem. You can't have it that easy. "Billions spent and for what?" Huh? ~10% of Europe's electricity is generated by wind, and that accounts for 55% of the world's wind-energy.

Global wind power capacity up in '08 | Green Business | Reuters

The US is slowly figuring out that wind is viable even though idiots protest it because 'the towers are ugly' and 'the towers are in our viewshed'. To large extent GE is the one exception, the one corporation in the US chasing down wind energy. There are still a ton of innovations and improvements that need to be made to make wind power better. And wind is just one of a dozen alternatives for renewable energy.

nuclear waste HAS a sollution, under a mountain. and considering how little waste there is so far, thats not so troubling. that being said, I'm sure nuclear power could be done better than we do it in 30+ year old reactors now.
Yes, I agree with this. What mountain do you live near?

use the nuclear power to split the water. hell, all those nuclear plants are ON bodies of water !

mounteins ? none but then again nobody lives all that near Yucca Mtn. I DO live within 50 miles of two nuclear reactors that get to store their wasted rods on site.

You are wrong about global warming, right about taxes, and really, the entire culture is moronically suicidal.

It's "Climate Change" now! Didn't you all get the memo? When will you get real about this shit? It's a political device. Conservatives look at this and it validates EVERYTHING we think about liberals.

First of all the scientific community "loves global warming?" Well just about everyone accepts global warming, it's anthropogenic global warming some are skeptical of. But nobody "loves" it. Scientists have genuine concerns which result from examination of data and years of research.
.Oh do they? Who told you that? That is simply not true, and a truly silly generalization.

First, how and why did all of the worlds scientist come together to form a massive conspiracy that is so easily seen through by somone so obviously lacking in scientific knowledge as you. Second, why would scientist want to destroy industry?
You're so brainwashed.

Who pays for those scientists to come to the conclusion global warming is real? The government via tax payers.

Who exploits the idea that global warming is real? The government, look no further then cap and trade.

The government spoon feeds you this bullshit, big business jumps on the opportunity to make a buck and now you have a whole industry based in lies and propaganda.

Anyone who believes this shit needs to go back to kindergarten.

I love how the global warming nuts will say 'sea levels will rise'.... Yeah well it doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand that ice displaces water, EXPANDED solid water. In theory the sea levels would actually drop some.

Of course the logical and proven truth is that sun spots impact our environment not man but NOPE these human hater liberals want to believe its all our fault and they will dismiss ALL forms of logic and truth because they WANT TO BELIEVE man is evil, industry is evil and everyone is a victim of evil man.

Global warming is a fantastic example of the victim mentality liberals carry around with them.

Yep... many on this forum have expressed that opinion.... and the opposite of that opinion.

Do a forum search and you'll find threads on the subject that actually start with substantative OPs and even contain sources, citations, charts, graphs, and statistics that support the opposing conclusions.
