The skeptic (or conspiracy theorist if you prefer) in me says they're trying to influence Copenhagen.

I thought the world was going to end in 2012, not 2029? I take all these 'estimates' with a grain of salt...twenty years from now things will no doubt be different. There were so many predictions about the year 2009...the dow would be at 25k, the U.S. would have paid off it's national debt with balanced budgets, we'd be out of Iraq, etc. Predictions...who needs em?

My house is built into the side of a hill. A few hundred feet above sea level. If the seas flood the world, I will suddenly have a private island.

Its definitely not 2012. The Mayans are incredibly upset about the way their calender has been hijacked by loonie new agers to be incorprated into some fanciful apocalypse.

I believe the Mayan tablet was misinterpreted, and the gaps in the message said, "This will be a sign of the end of the world as we know it: If Al'A'Bama wins." For years that was thought that if the Crimson Tide won the championship the New World Order would prevail. Many scholars today think it's talking about the current White House office holder.
