Hadley Institute Hacked

Breaking news...

Hadley Hack Update - Authenticity Gets Some Confirmation | .....Aaron's EnvironMental Corner.....

I'm going to preface this with, once more, I'M NOT AN EXPERT, JUST SOMEONE ASKING QUESTIONS, DON'T HURT ME!

I heard about this on the radio on the way into town this morning. Granted, the linked article is obviously fairly partisan, but the points made are interesting ones. Is he right about the big fish in AGW theory being implicated by this, and if so, what are the likely ramifications?

Re: Hadley Institute Hacked

Seems as though this whole 'Global Warming' thing is a hoax. Climategate: the final nail in the coffin of 'Anthropogenic Global Warming'

Quote:
If you own any shares in alternative energy companies I should start dumping them NOW. The conspiracy behind the Anthropogenic Global Warming myth (aka AGW; aka ManBearPig) has been suddenly, brutally and quite deliciously exposed after a hacker broke into the computers at the University of East Anglia’s Climate Research Unit (aka Hadley CRU) and released 61 megabites of confidential files onto the internet. (Hat tip: Watts Up With That)

When you read some of those files – including 1079 emails and 72 documents – you realise just why the boffins at Hadley CRU might have preferred to keep them confidential. As Andrew Bolt puts it, this scandal could well be “the greatest in modern science”. These alleged emails – supposedly exchanged by some of the most prominent scientists pushing AGW theory – suggest:

Conspiracy, collusion in exaggerating warming data, possibly illegal destruction of embarrassing information, organised resistance to disclosure, manipulation of data, private admissions of flaws in their public claims and much more.
I knew it all along.

Re: Hadley Institute Hacked

If you can't trust the information obtained from hackers what can you trust? They are surely such trustworthy people especially those Russian one's.

BTW. There are multiple blog post and denier website articles about this but interestingly enough none of them post links to the actual information so people can read it for themselves.

Climategate: the final nail in the coffin of ‘Anthropogenic Global Warming’? – Telegraph Blogs

ClimateGate - Climate center's server hacked revealing documents and emails
(There is a link to a download for the original files on this one. Also note that the institute has not yet issued a denial that these files are genuine.)

There... can we treat this as a real question now? A lot of you are more versed in the whole global warming thing than I am, and I admit my ignorance, mainly because even if the seas rise 400 feet, worst case scenario I have to use my shotgun to keep unwelcome swimmers away from my new private island, so I really don't care. So...

Are there really as many big fish in the scientific community involved with the Hadley Institute as this article claims? If so, what are the likely ramifications?

Yep here's another link from Fox News.Climate Skeptics See 'Smoking Gun' in Researchers' Leaked E-Mails - Biology | Astronomy | Chemistry | Physics - FOXNews.com

Just like I have been saying for years. Those liberal tree huggers are nothing more than a bunch of liers with an agenda to do as much damage to industry as they can. This proves it. These kind of people are antiman. They want man off the planet.

What better evidence can you get. They're a bunch of lying MF's. A person would have to be blind not see it.

Re: Hadley Institute Hacked

BBC has it too:

BBC News - Hackers target leading climate research unit

I'm with CDN, though. I would hardly put a lot of trust in information relayed by malicious hackers who, by simple virtue of their activities, prove that (1) they are dishonest and (2) they have an agenda against the victim. This would be like believing the word of a guy who stalked and attacked your wife, when he claimed that he caught her cheating on you during the course of his assault.

I'm sure the scrubbing process is going 24/7 but i doubt they come out of this clean. I doubt these guys are good enough at it.

Warmist conspiracy exposed? | Herald Sun Andrew Bolt Blog

this nones guy looks like hes cooking the data...others deleteing inconvenient or opposing data in order to emphasize other data that supports their data etc...

Nonetheless, I think we can agree it needs to be looked into by someone.
