    Secretary of Energy Steven Chu in 2007: BP is Going to Help Us Save the World

    a couple reasons why I posted this;

    the sheer hypocrisy and the silence to wit;

    BP became a favored son when they changed their logo, and started bribing, I mean ponying up bucks to sppt. research, marketing baby, yea we love the earth....let me give yo some money to prove it and, while they were raping ( with willful gov. gasp Bush/clinton/bush/Reagan/Carter assistance) the MMS agency and "the earth" years ago, like the global warming grantees, pay to play and not be bashed basically leaving us, the average schlep wondering what side is up. Cap and trade? Hello IF BP and Exxon and Major Coal producers are on board why do you think that is?

    Whats left to parse? They all have been in bed with each other since Rockefeller busted the first head and well head wildcatting to build Standard Oil.

    The silence?

    imagine the fun the nets would be having if this were a republican admin. and Sec of Energy? Lordy lordy......same old same old the stories of the rape centers in the subterranean bathrooms and warrens of the super dome, complete and absolute bullshit.The stories of rampant pillaging, raving gangs of killers, murder, bullshit.....now?
    Wheres the angst? I was unfortunately happy to see that, slowly some are waking up. The speech drew from everyone of every political stripe, raspberries...we'll see where this all goes.

    Yet-

    The Jones act has still not been repealed or suspended, the Coast Guard is playing priss pulling oil skimming barges off the line becasue they don't have the correct number of life-vests, yea okay lets see.

    Telegram:

    Date; May 28th 1940
    To: Commander- British Expeditionary Force.
    Dunkirk France
    From: Commander- HM British Coast Guard and Martime Regulatory Agency;

    Sir;

    I regret to inform you that the rescue of the British Army has been suspended due to boating safety concerns.

    We will of course inform you when we have completed the new inspections, assuring compliance of those bloody civilians with her majesties safety measures. ..till then, chin up.

    ..wtf ?

    75% of the EPA impact reports are still waiting to be approved, or not, meanwhile the oil has overrun half the areas that were on those requests, so oops, moot point now folks the marsh is gone....but hey we never said yes or no, so our ass is covered...:rolleyes:

    You know not one net played the tape of that democratic congressman grabbing that student by the neck? None of them.....

    thats our 'middle of the road media'...nothing to see here folks. Just more of the same.

    Seems like we hear this all the time:
    Well, I thought a couple of things were surprising to me. Why does he continue to say that the secretary of energy has a Nobel Prize? I mean, it‘s almost gotten ludicrous. We have Carol Browner do it again tonight. I know I‘ve mocked him for doing it, saying I‘d barf if he did it one more time.

    “We should never be more vigilant than at the moment a new dogma is being installed. … The left has been swept along, entranced by the allure of weather as revolutionary agent, naïvely conceiving of global warming as a crisis that will force radical social changes on capitalism.”
