Oil washing up on Pensacola Beaches

    Thanks, BP.

I suspect the CNN blogger is right - the beaches there won't ever be the same again.

    Fuck.

I have been living in Florida for quite some time now, and it is very saddening how the oil is creeping into the Florida coasts. It has been reported that the "Sunshine State" and Alabama will suffer the most damage by the spill.

Well that did not take very long. From what I understand of the pending storm season we may just be getting started in what will happen to FL's beaches.

I'm concerned about hurricane season as well. How will clean-up after the storm go, I wonder? Will people be able to safely go in like normal, or will there be toxic chemicals (more than normal, anyway) to deal with?

There goes any chances we might have had to sell Florida to Paraguay at a premium.

    Thanks, BP.

Ever is a long time. I'd say depending on whether they can get that shut off in the next month or 2, 15 to 20 years they should be back to "normal". Maybe more, maybe less depending on what advances in cleanup techniques are developed.

There is certainly some incentive to inventive people to come up with those now.
