The "high priest" of AGW to hold 24 hour revival

LONDON (Reuters) - Former Vice President Al Gore will renew his 30-year campaign to convince skeptics of the link between climate change and extreme weather events this week in a 24-hour global multi-media event.

"24 Hours of Reality" will broadcast a presentation by Al Gore every hour for 24 hours across 24 different time zones from Wednesday to Thursday, with the aim of convincing climate change deniers and driving action against global warming among households, schools and businesses.

The campaign also asks people to hand over control of their social networking accounts on Facebook and Twitter to it for 24 hours to deliver Gore's message.

Rejoice, all ye faithful! Al Gore is going to deliver you from sin and lay low the wicked!

Give us your social media passwords, so you can be an Agent of the Faith!!!!!

Yeesh. I wonder what the carbon footprint of this event will be? How much will Al Gore pay himself for indulgences to become "carbon neutral" for this spectacle?

For the AGW believers out there, here's a tip - if you want to improve the acceptance of your belief system, buy Al Gore a year's supply of STFU.....

Al Gore is a irrelevant figure in the world that isn't American BS centric.
The most I saw of him was in south park and I am super cerial about that.

Besides all that I accept that the human contribution to climate change as proven beyound reasonable doubt... most of the world has moved on... especially those places that suffer the consequences already.

Then most of the world has stopped thinking.

A recent poll in the US shows that the number of Americans who are concerned about AGW has fallen steadily since 2007 and is now below 50%.

Faced with that Inconvenient Truth (and the far more important loss of donations), the Movement had no choice but bring out Big Al to try and reverse the trend.

Oh, God, won't you please just stop, Al Gore.
"Finding the occasional straw of truth awash in a great ocean of confusion and bamboozle requires intelligence, vigilance, dedication and courage. But if we don't practice these tough habits of thought, we cannot hope to solve the truly serious problems that face us -- and we risk becoming a nation of suckers, up for grabs by the next charlatan who comes along." -Carl Sagan
