Finally some GOOD news this year.

I think she jumped the shark with Tom Cruise, though I haven't watched her since she was the female Jerry Springer.

Here in Baltimore we still have an anchor who had her as his second banana, before she went to Chicago and her own show. I still remember her interviewing local Flower Mart Presidents on Monday's Noon edition.

Do you watch the Question Time in the House program on CSPAN (otherwise known as Prime Minister's Questions) ? The House of Commons debates and discussions are televised.

We should adapt the British system. Let's install a monarchy which will become the focus of all the projections and melodrama and desire for tradition and pageantry.

Then we can have a president who is the equivalent of the PM and has to duke it out with the other members and not get away with platitudes and empty promises.

The speeches given by the president here are accompanied by the solemnity and gravity usually associated with coronations. All of the members of congress compete with each other to see who can grin and look appropriately serious and/or moved and filled with good and loyal thoughts.

They also compete to see who can applaud the longest - like Stalin's followers.

In London they have real verbal brawls, and they even laugh at times; they really go at it and hold each other accountable.

That seems a much healthier system. :)

DidGlennBeckRapeAndMurderAYoungGirlIn1990.com: Home Page

Now, I'm not saying that Glenn Beck raped and murdered a young girl back in 1990. I personally don't really even believe that Glenn Beck brutally raped and then proceeded to viciously murder an innocent young girl in 1990. But, all of this could be put to rest if Glenn Beck provided some sort of evidence or at the very least even issued some sort of denial that he horribly raped a young defenseless girl before tragically ripping her life from her body, never able to see her friends and family again on one fateful night in the 1990's.

But Beck hasn't denied the allegations of the brutal rape and inhuman murder of this young girl. In fact, quite suspiciously, Glenn Beck got his lawyer to sue the website to have it removed from the internet and to obtain the name of the site administrator. Isn't it a bit unusual that Glenn Beck, king of free speech, would suddenly abandon these principals in order to shut down a website focusing on his extinguishing the bright future of a young girl who loved life, after forcibly penetrating her against her will as she hopelessly screamed for help before he silenced her for eternity?

He could easily offer an alibi. I'm sure he had friends and family that could vouch for his whereabouts during 1990. Heck, just acknowledging the charges and issuing a denial would go a big way towards putting this whole thing to rest. But all we get is silence and lawsuits (which he lost, by the way, free speech triumphed over Beck's attempted censorship). His suspicious behavior is just feeding the whole thing and the tides are turning against him.

So, come on, Glenn Beck, did you hide in the bushes one blustery night waiting for this young girl to come walking along all by her young self before pouncing on her and ripping her pants off and violently stripping her innocence and youth away through indescribably brutal sexual molestation all while ignoring her constant sobbing before smothering the flame of her life like the terrible good for nothing shit headed murdering rapist you are? I mean, I don't believe any of this at all, but I'm just asking. Because I have my suspicions.

Obama to sit down for Fox interview

By Tony Romm - 11/12/09 07:55 AM ET
President Barack Obama will sit down with Fox News' Major Garrett for an exclusive interview next week, ending months of bickering between the White House and the network that kept the president mostly off its airwaves.

The news that Obama would join Garrett during the president's upcoming trip to Asia arrives hours after then-Communications Director Anita Dunn -- who first voiced criticism of the Fox franchise -- announced she would soon depart her position.

Gun inventor, 'happy man' Kalashnikov turns 90
The Russian inventor of the globally popular AK-47 assault rifle celebrated his birthday Tuesday, receiving an award from Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.

Moscow -- Mikhail Kalashnikov, the Russian inventor of the globally popular AK-47 assault rifle, declared himself a happy man with few regrets as he celebrated his 90th birthday on Tuesday.

"Age is not significant. I have plenty of life left in me. But still, this is a special date and it needs to be celebrated," the white-haired inventor said in remarks broadcast on Russian television.

Kalashnikov, whose tie was decorated with a metal pin shaped like an AK-47, smiled and read patriotic poetry to journalists in Izhevsk, his hometown and the site of the huge Izhmash factory which produces the rifles.

He later visited Moscow to receive an award from President Dmitry Medvedev at the Kremlin.

Meanwhile birthday wishes poured in for Kalashnikov from across Russia and even from space, with two Russian cosmonauts congratulating him by video link from the International Space Station (ISS).

"Your name, like that of the first cosmonaut, Yury Gagarin, became a symbol of our country in the 20th century," ISS crew member Maxim Surayev said in the video message, which was broadcast on Russian television.

Kalashnikov is considered a national hero in Russia for designing the AK-47, a rifle whose name stands for "Kalashnikov's Automatic" and the year it was designed, 1947.

Also called the "Kalashnikov,” the rifle and its variants are the weapons of choice for dozens of armies and guerrilla groups around the world.

More than 100 million Kalashnikov rifles have been sold worldwide and they are wielded by fighters in such far-flung conflict zones as Iraq, Afghanistan and Somalia.

But their inventor, a World War II veteran, has barely profited financially from them and lives modestly in Izhevsk, an industrial town 1,300 kilometres (800 miles) east of Moscow.

Part of the problem, according to Izhmash, is that "counterfeit" AK-47s are produced in Bulgaria, China, Poland and the United States, costing the company 360 million dollars (261 million euros) annually.
Alien sleeper cells come to Earth to ruin it, then the aliens land and use propaganda to bring us hope and change, including...wait for it...universal health care! Theres also the legion of young brownshirts, the control of the media. This should be interesting with the shoe on the other foot.

And I didnt like it when BSG or Jericho did it to Bush.

i was goin' to put this in the "just for fun" part 'o the forums, but after a bit 'o thought, i decided that the NFL be a huge part 'o our culture here in our great land.

when i thinks about the NFL and how the monies and talent be distributed, it all seems to reek 'o socialism to me, aye?

first of all, ye have profit sharin' 'o TV revenues. that means them folks who are in lowly cities with grim media markets end up gettin' monies from the goliaths in markets such as the new york area. this ends up makin' each franchise viable.

then ye have things like the NFL draft. in case any of ye don't know how the NFL draft be workin', here be how it goes; ye get rewarded fer awfulness.
'twas in this way that a horrible franchise in Pittsburgh, the Steelers, got thar mighty quarterback Terry Bradshaw in the 1970 draft. the previous year, them hapless Steelers racked up the sterlin' record of 1-13.

fer all ye who follow the phenomenon that be the NFL, do them socialistic protocols bother ye....or do ye cheer when yer team gets a first round draft and survives due to profit sharin'?

aye?

*bows*

I caught myself watching a documentary on Woodstock a couple of days ago and while watching I couldn't help but wonder when did liberalism separate itself from liberty? Would that crowd of kids support what has happened and what is looming on the horizon?

Coercive egalitarianism, central planning, rejecting personal responsibility and government oversight of free institutions are all part of modern liberalism that seem so very far from the ideals of Woodstock.

WTF happened?
