as some of you may know I've been looking into studying in the US for a semester or so next year. I initally wanted to go to William and Mary but due to a spat between them and my home uni that options no longer open to me. The two US unis we now have links too are the University of Virginia and the university of Connecticut so i was just wondering what you know about these two. What are they like? Nice situation? Good unis? Cheap beer? Full of rahs?

Please give me your thoughts...

So my friend and I were having a nerd fest the other day, and we figured out that Superman is a hard left Dem, but Batman is a right wing Rep.

Think about it. Superman is a journalist for a print newspaper, he wears mostly blue, he's from a small, blue collar, rural community, His villains are often rich and powerful, eg, Lex Luthor.

Then there's this...

Ahem.

Batman, on the other hand, was born and bred in affluence. He obviously resists change, as he's had the same butler for his entire life, and his junior partners (he was on the third one when they killed him not too long ago) have all worn the exact same costume.

Besides, only a rich, white conservative could think this dance...

... was cool. Dead giveaway there.

5 years is not a short time, there were much things happened.i would like to know, what's your changing in the past 5 years.maybe we can talk about life.
i have no much changing,5 years ago,i worked at a company ,today i stay at my home to do business in internet.
i have one love story, but not a happy ending,i am still single, and i keep her photo at my notebook, some times i take a look the photo to remember her smile, her face and her oath, and our shining days.i don't complain that she break her oath, because i know the Buddha control our fate,so we could not be together all our life.as she changed something for me,i changed myself for her.i still keep some of her habit, still listen and sing her favorite song.
in the 5 years,i saw too much sad stories, and know our life is not perfect.treat others kindly, and don't complain others.i am be more patient and have a good temper.and know life is cruel, finally i understand gay,Lesbians's pain.
the last changing,5 years ago,i was 23 years old,but now i am 28 years old
i still have much things to do,and still want to face the bored world.

Today was the day when, 91 years ago, the guns on the Western Front fell silent. The most terrible war to date had ended and armistice was signed. A short 20 years later and the guns would begin again, leading to another great war and the death of countless millions.

After the First World War Armistice day began and the British legion was set up. At eleven o'clock, on the eleventh day of the eleventh month I'd like to ask you all to participate in two minuates silence. I'd like to request that you stop posting for two minuates, whatever time zone you exist in, and just think about those who gave there lives so that we could remain free; in every war.

remember their sacrafice

remember their honour

Remember their duty

remember their passion

remember their lives

Let us take time to remember our brothers who have gone before us be it in civilian life, or those who fell in the field and are now feasting in Valhalla. Let us also remember our brothers who are serving still; those who are many mile from home, manning that listening post or forward position. Finally, let us give thanks for the future generations of Marines. May they continue to uphold the honor and tradition that is the United States Marine Corps. Semper Fi my brothers, and happy birthday!

I downloaded GoogleEarth about a month ago. It functioned perfectly. I went to look for it today and the Icon was gone. Theres still a file for it in the download section but all that does is send me back to the download page. I have redownloaded it twice and there is no change.

I am using Windows Vista on a nearly new ASUS CG5290 with an Intel I7 920 CPU and an nVidiaGTX260 graphics card.

Any ideas, the tech boards either don't know or haven't answered yet. I have some hints that Google has issues with Vista but doesn't everything?

There is also a very vague idea I've heard that Google Earth was somehow incorporated into some other Google function, possibly Google Maps, but there is nothing about that on the GoogleEarth download page.

Ideas? Thanks very much
