Tim : do you have one an example of any government in Europe which actually "insulted" the US because it opposed it ?

Please provide examples, links etc. And you may go and search as back as 2003 / 2002, a time when the opposition of a number of European governments was at its worse.

It is a difficult subject if you want to avoid paronoid argumentation.
