Imbedded Babies.

This woman was heading into the US to visit relatives in Chicago. ten days before her due date. I would say it is obvious it was simply one more person taking advantage of our constitutional laws. (it is not actually a part of the constitution.) IT SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED. she was in the air over the US when she gave birth. So apparently the child will be granted citizenship.

I think we should stop this practice IMMEDIATELY! That child is now the responsibility of the US for the next 18 years.

Re: Imbedded Babies.

link? Besides we already grant citizenship to plenty of people who are here temporarily. Suppose a pakistani officer is here on an exchange program, w/ wife in tow and she has a child, its american (as well as pakistani by all likelihood). For diplomats it's different, however.

This was just a news story and it happens all the time, tho not usually in the air. So there is no link that I know of.

But in answer to your question. I beleive that for a baby born here, at least One of the parents should be a Citizen, or at least in the process of becoming a Citizen, That most definitely pertians to diplomates too..

Re: Imbedded Babies.

The constitution has to be amended so that the anchor baby loophole is removed. And then pass a law so that this applies retroactively.
